Mediocre hotel. Staff was welcoming and professional. Rooms are very small and you can hear a lot of street noise through windows at night. Pillows are old and lumpy. Bathrooms are updated and clean. Breakfast is included in your $25/day room service fee but it consists of bagels, toast and cereal- very basic and we found ourselves going out for breakfast.

Nice hotel in Old San Juan.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean, and what I expected from a hotel located in Old San Juan, charming.
Cons: Breakfast choices are slim: pastries, bagels, toast cold cereal and coffee and juice.
Location: Same block as restaurants and bars. The pro is that is very convenient and safer to walk back to the hotel at night. The con is that there is possibil
The hotel is located on the same block as restaurants and bars. The pro is that is very convenient and safer to walk back to the hotel at night. The con is that there is possibility of the extra noise at night (the hotel provides earplugs...). We stayed for one night (the night before leaving to a cruise) which made it a great choice. However, If I planned on staying more than two nights, I prefer a bigger hotel with bigger rooms, and a pool. About a $20 taxi ride from airport to hotel and a $16 taxi ride from hotel to the cruise port, making it very convenient.

Very noisy in wee hours of morning.

Pros: Close to restaraunts
Cons: 25 dollar resort fee is ridiculous
Location: Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.
Ok overall but resort fee is ridiculous. One bottle of water in room and tiny breakfast offering doesn't warrant it.

Nice hotel in itself, but way too noisy at night.

Posted 28-Mar-2016
Pros: Location, staff, continental breakfast.
Cons: Noise level at night from outside. Not sure how to improve this since the sound is from bars nearby. Perhaps even better windows might help.
Location: Good location close to many restaurants, the free trolley for sightseeing, short walk to waterfront and stores.
This hotel is in a good location, close to restaurants in old San Juan and short walk to other areas such as the waterfront. The staff is friendly and nice and the rooms were clean. They also provide a nice continental breakfast. The only problem is that it is (at least on a Saturday night) very noisy from the bars outside which made it unable for us to sleep much. This noise is the only reason we would not recommend it to others. If you don't care about the sleep (or are a heavy sleeper) then all other aspects of this hotel are great.

Very nice hotel, closed to restaurants.

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Large rooms. Surprised that our room had 2 baths and private bedroom.
Cons: Insulated Windows to block out the street noise.
Location: Great location. 5 minute walk to cruise terminal. Walk to restaurants, gardens, and all sights in Old San Jaun.
Staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was good and they made awesome coffee. Gave everyone free bottle waters. Large rooms. If room is in the front ask for ear plugs due to street noise, but a great place to stay. Clean.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was great.
Cons: We arrived a bit late for the breakfast and they were out of most everything.
Location: It has lots of restaurants on the same street however it was a very noisy area. They offered earplugs in the room which was a clue to the noisiness.
Very nice small hotel in a good location in Old San Juan. The room we were given was very large and very nice and modern and clean. The bathroom was wonderful.

Good hotel in a wonderful location - within walking distance to the fort, cruise terminal and tons of shopping and restaurants. Because you're staying in a renovated Spanish style building, please keep in mind the the doors leading outside are not sound proof. You will be able to hear the cars and rowdy folks walking below. If that doesn't bother you, then this is a great place to stay.

Modern boutique

The hotel, rooms and bathrooms were beautifully updated and I loved the walk in shower. The noise at night was definitely a problem but we had been for warned. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the continental breakfast, especially the mocha they prepared for us. I was thrilled to find out that they had an elevator. My only complaint was the carpet was filthy, but the rest of the room was clean.
