Great week at NOW Sapphire

This was our first time to this resort, although we have stayed at many all-inclusives in Mexico. The resort was very pretty as far as the grounds and pool. Rooms were nice, but bathrooms were a little dated. LOVED the entertainment staff and the music at night. Liked that there were no wristbands or checking out of towels. Preferred Club got us access to the lounge, as well as a beach front room. Food was okay. Probably the worst breakfast buffet we have had, but the dinners and lunch were pretty good. Room service was good as well. All staff work super hard to make your stay enjoyable. Lots of seaweed the first part of the week, but it was much better towards the end. They work ALL DAY trying to remove it. Also loved the constant access to kayaks and hobiecats

This place is definitely not a 5 star or "4 diamond" as the hotel claims! Our group was so disappointed with everything from the food, drinks to bird crap on the wall in the buffet room. We made several attempts to try the hibachi grill but it always seemed to be booked. The final time we met with the concierge to make reservations & were told there was nothing available until next wk, what does that mean? The employee didnt even check the computer or a reservation book when she told us this. While we ate in the buffet area, i would watch one of the waiter s continously turn his back to guests,face the wall & take a "shot" of something. Weird and not to mention there was no type of breeze in the buffet so the entire group had to eat as we were clamy &sweat beads dripped down all over. We continously tried to give the food chance after chance but everything was either stale, runny, or just bland to taste. I also learned both ice machines in my bldg were broken. I tried the watermelon juice that was poured into the pineapple fruit/drinks served poolside & it was so hot, runny &disgusting. We also sat thru their vacation club presentation, of course we didn't buy it. The final straw was when me &my husband got sick the last 48 hrs of our trip &were so ready to get out of there!

Very nice hotel with a large beach!

Pros: The size of the beach & the layout of the hotel.
Cons: AC in the rooms could be improved in coolness and noisemaking. It did blow cold but needed to be colder. Basically the compressor ran 24/7.
Location: Great location! close to airport and sites.
This was our first all inclusive experience and we loved it. The hotel is super nice and the food is good.

Nice Hotel, dinning options, awesome staff

My wife and I got married at the Now, Juan Carlos is a true professional and an awesome wedding coordinator. Our ceremony on the beach and private reception around the adults only pool was spectacular. We found the staff warm and friendly over our 12 day stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable with many different dining experiences.

Great hotel!

Our room was steps from the beach and pool. Staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. Entertainment staff were fantastic with my kids and very enthusiastic without being over-bearing. Food was good at the buffet and great at restaurants. Poolside grill and beach bar were welcome amenities. Swim up bar was well staffed with friendly bartenders. Overall a great time!!

Great value

I'll start by saying this resort was better than expected and that's a very good thing. It's my 4th trip to Cancun and 2nd with AM Resorts. I'll stick with AM from now on, they haven't treated me wrong. I have nothing bad to say about the resort. We bought the Deal of the Day room and it was a good value. You won't get M&M's or bug spray in the room but I'll trade $300 in savings for that. You may walk more and not have a good view but that will cost you $500 to $1,000 more anywhere else for 5 nights. Jesus at the pool bar is the best around for service and I have to give a shout out to Cesar, Alfonso, Antonio and Oscar at the bars, they are amazing. Their service is top notch when you tip $5 to start and they earn it. Plan to bring everything you need or the gift shop will add up quickly. This resort also has Captain Morgan, a big plus. I've stayed at Moon Palace, Excellence, Now Jade and now at Now Sapphire ( all in the Cancun area) and I would not hesitate to come back or recommend this place.

Nice hotel grounds,good food and service.Spa is wonderful and affordable also they offer daily specials.It would be great if this hotel had a kiddie pool for those traveling with younger children.The rooms need to be renewed especially the bathrooms ,for this price I expected a great room with no issues unfortunately I was a little disappointed.

Ok resort

Family oriented hotel may be disappointing for adults only. Not much of entertainment activities during the day , better at night but after 1am it's over. We did like the open concept of the resort areas with large swimming pool in the center, children area and adults only swimming pool. Very comfortable beds, food was ok. Angelica from the omelet station was a pro making great egg white omelettes. This time of the year there was lots of seaweed on the beach.

Does everything very nicely

Just returned from a five day trip, including arrival date and departure date. There are plenty of activities for a short stay. The facility is beginning to look a little dated. Painters were present during the daytime and the beautiful thatched roofs on some of the buildings in the main complex will soon need replacement. Many beautiful fountains surround the facility although the one outside of our room complex was never turned on during our stay. They seem to cater two families, as there were always little ones running around and being loud. The one adult pool seemed inviting until we found out we had to have a VIP membership which we declined. Food was great! Only one breakfast place available for us "commoners". VIP had another breakfast option. Very friendly staff but not all of the visible people could speak English. Spa was outstanding.
