The room was clean and was freshened each day with fresh towels, which was lovely. The staff were super helpful and tolerated my broken Portuguese and Spanish. No one there spoke English. They allowed us to stash our luggage for the day after we checked out. The pool was kept up and mostly clean (minus a few stray leaves) - made for a refreshing dip one afternoon. The room facilities weren't spectacular and a little run down (especially the shower), but everything worked fine (TV, AC, fridge, etc.). Excellent, very peasant staff. My room was spacious, with a small refrigerator, which is quite unusual for mid-range accommodation, but welcomed. Also plenty of electrical outlets, which is again unusual. The private bathroom had on-demand hot water in the shower, and shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap were provided. The only negative was the free breakfast, as it was a bit meagre. Coffee, tea, juices, croissants and mini toast provided, with jam, etc. But no fresh fruit, eggs, cheese and meat, which would have been nice. In spite of this, an overall pleasant experience.
