Located in town in a peaceful area, just a 10 minute walk to the amazing swimming beach surrounded by palm trees. The property is rented to one group at a time so nothing is shared with other guests. Perfect for groups up to 12 guests including children. We offer AC in all the bedrooms The MAIN HOUSE offers 1\. One bedroom with a King sized bed and its own bathroom. 2\. Beautiful landscape with flowers with lots of trees, humming birds and butterflies. We offer parking for up to 3 vehicles inside the property. The property is ALL fenced in and it is private and quiet with lots of nature, creating a very peaceful feeling and that is why we called it OASIS. The main house offers a full kitchen with ALL appliances and utensils for cooking and for preparing your favorite cocktails, a spacious living room with two sofas and one chair to have your family gatherings, we offer an inside dining area with a table and an outside dining table, a large patio with chairs and coffee table overlooking the gardens, the forest and the swimming pool. You can choose to eat inside or outside by the veranda. In this area we also offer a Weber barbecue if you feel like having a parrillada. The highlight of this property is the outside living space with an amazing setting for the swimming pool surrounded by lots of nature and privacy where you can admire many different species of birds, iguanas and howler monkeys. AT REQUEST FOR THE GUEST: We provide personal laundry service. We just ask for a small tip for the maid. Let us know if you need to do your own laundry and we can also be accommodating. Please inquire if you need a longer stay. We can accommodate you if we have availability. Welcome longer stays for up to 27 nights in our low season. Our low season is from May to October. From our location you can walk to 5 restaurants within 2 to 4 blocks away. Hula Jungla 2 blocks El Colibri and los Delfines 3 blocks La Puesta del Sol and Restaurante Nammbu are 4 blocks There is a grocery store 2 blocks away and one other one called La Guaria with everything you may need and it is 3 blocks away. The beach is at least a 10 minute walk (NOT FLAT but HILLY, not for the faint at heart) or 4 blocks away and most vacationers prefer to have a vehicle to take a cooler with beverages and beach toys, beach towels and chairs although it is not required if you have a shuttle from the airport for the whole group and love to walk once you get to the house. All reservations accepted have the property private to themselves. The reservation must have the total amount of people we will host and no other guests who are not registered and paid for will be allowed in the property. This property is great for 1 couple who is looking for a VERY large set up for total privacy 1 couple plus kids 2 couples with kids or no kids 3 couples with kids or no kids 4 couples with kids or no kids 5 couples as we have 5 bedrooms (One couple will have to share a bathroom) We do not allow events in our property like weddings or big fiestas. A description of our town Carrillo Beach (not to be confused with the Carrillo county) has a small community with great restaurants and a couple of stores and it is less than 10 minutes by car from the well known Samara Beach. This beach was awarded with the 5 star ecological blue flag, only a total of 5 beaches qualified in the whole country for the top rating with 5 stars they went though a program of qualifying great ocean water and potable water plus cleanliness of the town and efficient recycling programs in the community. The beach is ideal for swimming and absolutely beautiful surrounded with palm trees and lots of shade throughout the whole day. Most of the homes around Villa Oasis are residential. In our street called Oasis (named after our home) there are about 10 other homes for permanent friendly residents and 2 other rental homes for families. There are also a couple of tour companies in town to help you arrange your activities, one is called Octopus Costa Rica and it is recommend for the dolphin tours and a wonderful ocean experience. Water activities are the highlights of our town. Anything from swimming, going for a dolphin and whale tour, fishing for inshore and offshore, kayaking and paddle boarding, snorkeling at Punta Indio and Isla Chora or just taking an adventure to the jungle by ATV or side by sides to swim in a waterfall and have a barbecue in a secluded paradisiac white sand beach. Everyone is friendly in our community and happy to provide great service for people visiting the area. Samara offers lots of restaurants in front of the water and lots of souvenir shops. There are a handful of tour operators that offer great activities for adults and children. Carrillo also offers a Gym with instructor, a horse back riding tour guide named Luis Angel that is fantastic and two grocery stores where you can find absolutely everything you may need on vacation from fruits to liquor and wine. Playas del Sur and Roble that also belong to our town offer a paradisiac experience with a small waterfall flowing right into the sand in the months of May through November and lots of tide pools. One of the highlights of Carrillo is walking the whole beach which is 2 kilometers long or 4 kilometers round trip. The walk is easy and you will see lots of species of birds including Kingfishers, lots of egrets and scarlet macaws. The gentle walk provides so much beauty. A lot of people like to do this walk early in the mornings to see the sunrises or some may prefer to go for a sunset cruise and swim. If you feel adventurous you can walk all around the Punta Indio rock at the North side of the beach. Carrillo is a very safe town and friendly. The home is beautiful and clean and Jackie was wonderful to deal with from start to finish. We spent two weeks traveling through the Nicoya Peninsula and this was by far our favorite home! We booked a fishing trip with Jackie‘s husband Rick and it was a big highlight of our trip, the kids caught four sailfish! The pool was great, the yard was well taken care of and clean, and the entire property was very secure. We would love to return and would definitely recommend renting this property. Both the main house and guest house were lovely, comfortable, spacious, and well appointed. The pool and backyard setting was simply paradise. The location was ideal. We enjoyed our walks to the local restaurants. Playa Carrillo was just a five minute drive and the beach was kid friendly. Jackie, our host was very knowledgeable about the area, and answered all of our questions promptly. She was super accommodating. Beautiful butterfly garden, and daily visits from the iguana. Host was very helpful in arranging transportation, scheduling activities. and responsive to questions. I would recommend having a car. Great pool, lots of room to sit, outdoor bar and patio table, butterflies in the garden, convenient restroom to pool area. We had a delicious breakfast prepared on-site - highly recommend. Owner and maid/cook were lovely to deal with. Maid only speaks Spanish but we mostly got by with our basic fluency. Note that only the bedrooms are air conditioned. During our stay it was uncomfortably hot in the living space, despite open windows and one floor fan. We never got a cross breeze. Also tightly seal all food items or store them all in the fridge or the tiny tenacious ants will find it! (Costa Rican ants are impressive!) This home is wonderful, with lots of room to spread out and beautiful outdoor spaces that look out onto a forested valley. Veranda is perfect for spying on birds, monkeys, and iguanas through binoculars. The location worked well. The 10-minute walk to the beach allowed adults to head over individually before the rest drove over with chairs/umbrella/cooler. Easy walk to a few restaurants. We had a good dinner at El Colibri, but Soda la Plaza was our favorite (my best meal in Costa Rica!). The beach was beautiful and uncrowded at the end of November. A fringe of palm trees provided relief from the sun for the local families and tourists hanging out. The road is close to the beach, but we didn’t hear or see it from the sand/water. (Serious speed bumps keep traffic slow and quiet.) As the description indicates, the bedrooms have AC, but the common areas don’t. Despite the hot and humid weather, fans and open windows/doors kept the common areas comfortable. And we frequently hopped into the beautiful pool. Host was very responsive before and during our visit. The housekeeper was knowledgeable and helpful, even though she and I didn’t speak a common language. She had done an excellent job of prepping the house, which was very clean. We’re glad we opted to have her cook us breakfast one morning. We loved the location and the neighborhood. The house and the guesthouse were huge and although there were two families we all had enough privacy and space to enjoy each other. The grounds and view are beautiful. Jackie was so helpful arranging activities for us. She responded immediately and was willing to do anything to make our week great. The house and adjoining apartment made for a very comfortable stay with more than enough room for everyone to relax and unwind! The pool was beautiful and perfect to escape the sun and heat. The owner Jackie was the perfect host, always quick to respond to our questions and with lots of great recommendations to make sure we had a great stay. Great compound for interaction of multiple guests that still are able to maintain their individual private areas due to the large size of the property. Wonderfully prepared full Costa Rican breakfasts each day. Friendly and efficient housekeeper kept the house in order. The property did have multiple maintenance issues that need to be corrected. This is a beautiful property and fit our family of 8 perfectly. Myrtha made us breakfast and coffee every morning while accommodating our vegan diet. Our kids loved the plantains she cooked, made with love as she described. Jackie was an incredible host, making our stay as easy as possible by arranging zip lining and a boat trip to see dolphins. She also found a local vegan bakery and picked up a cake for us to celebrate my daughters 25th birthday during our stay. She went above and beyond our expectations!
