The room was perfect for what we needed. No microwave. No bath. There is a mini fridge. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was good. There is an adjoining room. We were lucky and had quiet neighbors, but if you had loud ones, I could see that not being great. The view from the room was GORGEOUS! The property (pool, tennis courts, restaurants, yard games, etc) and staff at the Hanalei Bay Resort (which the room is part of) far exceeded our expectations. In the closet was a counter with a couple of small saucers couple of bowls, couple coffee cups couple of wine glasses some fork knives a blender, a coffee pot and a tea pot. No pots no pans no cooking utensils no stove no microwave In the description, it also stated icemaker was part of the unit. Was there an icemaker on site? Yes, there was were there grills on site. Yes there were but they were not part of the unit. It was a walk to get there. I have never stayed in a VRBO unit that was a kitchen before that is like this. It’s very unfortunate that this listing and others continue to be published the way that they are. I spoke with others on the property as well as staff who stated this exact same thing happens more than once a week we guess expect a kitchen for us we went grocery shopping in Lihue Prior to ever seeing the condo and we shopped like we would have a kitchen when we got there and realized all we had was a grill. We had to go to the local grocery store and buy pans so that we could cook our food on the grill. This was a big inconvenience. It felt good to arrive here. The care that was put into creating this space was obvious. It felt like home, being surrounded by beautiful things and pictures that represent Hawaii. Coffe maker looked like it was bought at a 2nd hand store. For the price you pay once all the hidden fees added up you should just get an actual hotel room with amenities at the touch of a button. The staff for the resort was awesome and the veiw was great. I think its time to put a little money into your investment ##### steve P. You could hear the connecting neighbor pretty easily and the roosters outside (they're all over Kauai so you will literally hear them your entire trip), but if you go in anticipating this, they aren't that big of an issue. Drops to a 4/5 simply because I sent 3 messages through vrbo prior to my trip and never received a response. Other hosts at Hanalei Bay Resort are likely more responsive. ##### Tom S.
