It is stocked with just about every kitchen appliance and utensils one might need. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, exercise studios was a plus. The staff was quite responsive to any concerns that came up. I would suggest trying out the heater for the jacuzzi as soon as you can, to make sure it is in working order from the beginning of your stay. The driveway is difficult to negotiate, however with practice & patience we got the hang of it. All 8 family members had a wonderful experience staying in this home. ##### Nancy G. Two washer dryer units... and more. The house was spotless, well maintained. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet (except for the roosters crowing every morning, (which we loved)! The layout of the house was fabulous for a family of 10\. The kitchen has everything needed. It was wonderful to have coffee waiting for us. It was also fun to have pool and beach toys as well as beach towels. We did have a couple of issues. Dec 30, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Hawaiian Christmas 2024 As new empty nesters (one daughter in college and two sons in the military) we knew that everyone was going to be traveling from somewhere to make it home for Christmas. The family voted and decided that since we would all be traveling anyway we might as well make it nice. With girlfriends and spouses we had a total of eight in our family and needed at least 5 bedrooms. This starts limiting our options. Doing a little research I came across Nalani Palms. Folks, this is a magnificent property. It had the 5 bedrooms we needed (all very large) and two separate living areas. It had a very well equipped and large kitchen, two washing machines and two dryers. there are only two televisions (none in the bedrooms) but after the first day none of us really missed it. The pool, hot tub and BBQ all worked and were well used. In the garage there was plenty of beach gear including surf boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, two ice chests and toys for the kids. Really, everything you need for a day at the beach. The house itself sits in the Princeville Resort (North Shore) just minutes from numerous beaches and the Princeville Makai golf club (I also highly recommend). Side note, the conditions at the beaches can vary from day to day or even hour to hour based on the weather conditions. If the surf is rough at one beach you may have better luck at another beach close by. They do fill up early though. Back to the property. Check in was super easy. 5 stars. We were there for a 70th Birthday and had ages ranging from 1 year to 70 years. The house is great and has just about everything you need for a wonderful Hawaii vacation. There is NO Air Conditioning in this house. If you are traveling with little kids who have specific needs (like ours sleep in "slumber pods" that get hot) then you need AC. If you are willing to leave all the windows and doors open at night, then the trade winds are enough to cool you down. Other then the AC "issue" this is a wonderful place, close to all the excitement and FUN FUN FUN for the whole family. oh, the pool i s not heated, but it was not needed during our stay as it remained around 78degrees or about the same as the ocean... so it felt. ##### Beau W. Was told there was outside access on the level where kitchen and living areas are. That was not the case. These areas are on the second floor and can only be accessed by stairs. This was an issue since we had people with mobility issues. So beware. Also, there was an issue with the pool on arrival. But I commend the pool guy, who got on it quickly and resolved it within a couple of days. Otherwise we enjoyed the property and would stay again. The location in Princeville was perfect….a lovely neighbourhood, close to many beautiful beaches and walking distance to decent shopping. The garage had a lot of toys (ping/beer pong table, surf/long/boogie boards, umbrellas, coolers, TWO washers/dryers. However, the location wasn’t near much besides a grocery store and queens bath. We drove a lot to Hanalei and to Kapa’a to do family outings such as Lydgate Beach which is a very kid friendly beach. The neighbors are locals and will complain if you’re being a little loud. There’s no AC, the light switches were terrible, they forgot our pack n play the first night and our bath tub was clogged. And they didn’t have any coffee for us!!!!! Overall it was a good stay. The driveway is very narrow and hard to back out of. First the lack of air conditioning is the most immediately noticed problem. It’s time the owners step up and invest in a good HVAC system. Very uncomfortable if not impossible to sleep in this house. This would also increase the value of the property. 2nd item is the complete lack of any grab handles in any of the bath tubs or showers. Floors in tubs are very slippery and there’s nothing to grab if you fall. 3rd item is the lack of a railing on the pool steps and on the hot tub. Very hard for seniors to get in or out of the pool and tub. The tile around the pool area is very slippery, my wife and I both came close to falling several times. 4th. For what we paid for cleaning the property it should have been a lot cleaner. Every fan is full of black dirt and blows off in chunks. The swimming pool looked like it wasn’t cleaned in several weeks. 5th. The upstairs dining area window coverings have many pieces missing and the allows the sun to glare into the living room and dining room making them uncomfortable to use. ##### Lawrence D.
