For an extra challenge, the Prince Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jr. and named the best in the state, is also next door. When you’re ready for sand and sun, head to the world-famous Hanalei Bay beach. If you’re looking for an adrenaline high, Anini Beach is also only a short drive away and is well-known for its snorkeling and windsurfing. With over 1,800 square feet of space and two main suites, the condo is ideal for two families or two couples traveling together. Open and airy with vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, the living room offers a comfy couch, a plush armchair, and a TV. Behind it, you can gather for meals around the dining table. Start and end your day on the pretty lanai off the living room, sipping on coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. Enjoy mountain views all around and when it rains, you can see waterfalls in the distance. Cooking isn’t as much of a chore in the fully-equipped kitchen, thanks to an electric grill, stainless steel appliances, and granite counters. You even get mountain views from the large window over the sink. In the lower level main suite, a homey bed invites you to sleep like a baby and the private lanai provides privacy, peace, and an incredible look at the mountains, plus an en-suite bath with a walk-in shower. The upper-level main suite also has its own en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Bluetooth stereos and smart TVs offer the latest in entertainment, and our electronic charging stations mean your group will never have to fight over outlets. The only sort of drawback is that if want to visit Waimea or boat ride to Na Pali, you nearly have to circumnavigate the island, as there is no direct route from Princeville. We didn’t mind too much. We went to Kauai knowing we wanted to drive to a lot of different beaches which is exactly what we did. Our favorite beach was Secret beach! We went there two days and saw dolphins both days. I am really glad we stayed in the north because of the dramatic beauty. The only thing I think should be updated is the refrigerator. Not only is it beautifully furnished, fully stocked (spices, cooking equip) and offers a convenient pool, it is perfectly situated to explore Princeville on foot or in the car. There are several beaches within walking distance (although two- Hidden Beach and Queens Bath- are a very challenging walk (not to be done after a rain). We loved Puu Poa Beach by the St. Regis (easier to get to AND you can buy cocktails/smoothies/lunch right at the beach). We also had a lovely last meal at Happy Talk Restaurant (also walking distance) for a fun dinner with music and beautiful views. A romantic dinner was had at the St. Regis. Plenty of options to explore. Definitely stock up at the Foodland right around the corner in the Princeville Center. May 21, 2018 #### Best vacation rental we've ever stayed in! It's important to note that we have stayed in vacation rentals all over the world, and many in the State of Hawaii on various islands. This was the best we've ever stayed in, for a variety of reasons. First, the complex is quiet, safe and well landscaped. Pool and jacuzzi are close, and the property is well placed in the greater Princeville resort property. We walked every day and Princeville has a great walking/running path. The unit is itself is really well laid out, with two legit master suites, a spacious living area and a well-stocked kitchen. I mean seriously well stocked. EVERYTHING you could possibly need. We like to eat out but we did cook a couple of nights, including using the BBQ to grill some fresh fish. A/C works great, which is important to us as humidity gets to us quickly. The condo is clean and the most impressive thing is how amazingly well Great Vacation Retreats, which manages the property has thought of everything one would need. Plenty of soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion in all three bathrooms. We find too often that is not the case with vacation rentals. Blow dryers in every bathroom, plenty of detergent and dryer sheets for the laundry. Also impressive is the quality of the furniture. They spared no expense, really high end, including the fans. Beds were comfortable and they also have all the beach gear you could need - towels, chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, you name it. There were only four of us, but it would sleep 6 and maybe even 8 (they have a blow-up mattress that would be fine for kids) comfortably. We will definitely be coming back. ##### Brian H. When we travel, we cook in our VRBO, and this condo is unmatched in the amenities that it provides. We enjoyed the quiet community, views of multiple waterfalls in the mountains, close access to the Hanalei Bay, and a3-minute walk to the beautiful Makai golf course. Awesome! ##### Paul S. The info given to us for arrival was all wrong - wrong gate code, wrong lockbox code, and completely wrong wifi info. We figured out the gate code on our own, hat to calm to get the lockbox code, and ended up too tired to call about the wifi. I would 100% rent this place again. We loved it! Saw a rainbow on one of the days. The place is fully stocked with nice kitchen equipment, dishwashing soap and towels. We didn\`t lack for essential needs. Unit is a quick 10 minute drive to Foodland Supermarket which is next to the roundabout where the entrance/exit to Princeville is. Didn\`t really hear the roosters with the windows shut (and didn\`t really see very many of them). The neighborhood and surrounding areas is very quiet and peaceful. Loved having the AC, washer/dryer and beach gear. The unit is in a gated complex next to the Makai Golf Course. Did the Sunset Tour there- which was alot of fun with great views.
