This two bedroom corner unit has a comfortable and homey main living space, a fully stocked kitchen, and two private ensuite bathrooms so nobody has to share! The guest bedroom shares the same awesome views as the lanai, so you can watch the sun rise over the ocean without even getting out of bed. You'll find yourself in the perfect jumping off point for exploring the island at Alii Kai 8H. Anini Beach is just 15 minutes away, and has crystal clear waters that are perfect for snorkeling! You might also catch a glimpse of a Hawaiian green sea turtle while you're there. Hanalei Bay is also just 10 minutes away, and has beautiful golden sand beaches with calm waters perfect for all ages of swimmers. The charming Hanalei town is right nearby, and has a variety of boutiques and delicious restaurants and cafes for all your shopping and dining needs. Hideaways Beach is just a mile away from Alii Kai, and if you're able to brave the steep path you'll be rewarded with a secluded and shady beach experience that feels like your own slice of paradise. The snorkeling isn't half bad either! If you want a break from the crowds, we recommend heading to Kilauea, just 20 minutes down the road, to check out the iconic lighthouse and wildlife preserve. Or, if you prefer sticking a bit closer to home, the Princeville shopping center is just a mile away, and has plenty of options for shopping and grabbing tasty bites, as well as the Foodland grocery store for even more convenience! The nationally ranked Makai golf course is also just a 10 minute walk away from your front door, and has some of the best golfing in the country. If you prefer less running around on vacation and more time relaxing, the Alii Kai complex is perfectly suited for a chilled out staycation! The complex has a large heated pool, jacuzzi, and shallow wading pool that's great for children, as well as plenty of sun loungers and shaded clubhouse seating. There are also gas grills on site if you want to spend the day grilling out and enjoying the beautiful weather, or you can take a stroll around the beautifully landscaped grounds. situated right on the rocky bluffs, and enjoy some stellar ocean views! Looking to explore other parts of the island? Drive time to the South Shore is roughly 75 minutes, and to the East Side (where the airport is located) is 55 minutes. As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned, although there are screen doors on the lanai and fans in every room to help with airflow. This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down 16 stairs. There are no elevators. Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party. Beds were comfortable, space was great. As other reviews stated, the pool in the picture is not the one for this condo, but the pool we used is bigger and more family friendly- not a big deal for us at all. We enjoyed the privacy of being the end unit. The rental does have a few beach chairs and umbrella but they are very tired with broken straps. We did not have internet while we were there and none of the batteries in the remote controls worked. Wifi would have been nice since our phone service was spotty, but we were warned about this ahead of time. Rental unit feels a little tired, but is well-kept and very clean. By the next afternoon, my attitude adjusted and I realized that it was adequate in the ways that mattered. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good water pressure and the appliances in the kitchen worked well. It was clean, quiet and in a nice location. But it could definitely use some new paint, a carpentry refresh and a bit of modernizing in the kitchen. The attentiveness of staff before and during our visit was excellent. The one you are able to use is actually better but we wasted time not knowing we were trying to get into the wrong area. Our TV failed before a big game and we spent al lot of time trying to figure out what was wrong. Turns out it was Roku but we were without entertainment for most of the trip. Being over the pool had his pros and cons though in the later evenings... For the price we paid, we thought the kitchen could use a tiny upgrade for sure, but other than that we were very happy. We were easy guests doing our own laundry and treating the property like our own home... we donated three brand new boogie boards to the closet for the next many guests to use and we hope the owners can enjoy them as well. The only issue we had was that the cable was connected to a light switch, but the property management folks helped us fix that. Overall, it was a good stay. ##### Edward M. Pool freezing cold . To cold to swim in condo tv local cable / tv channels not working 5 Remotes in home but none worked ( no response ) also tv and wifi modem on a lite switch (had to figure out on our own ( no response ) also after 5 days shower broke and was not fixed . Management company contacted us regular to ask if we had any issues. Butt when we reported issues no response or very delayed response and no fixes of any isues reported and no explination on why or just we will let maintenance know of isues and no further comunication ##### matthew h. Toaster and microwave were broken. They did bring a new toaster and microwave. No hot pads available. Very little hot water in master shower. Comfortable and roomy condo with nice view of ocean and mountains. There were a few hiccups, like the dishwasher not working but the property management quickly responded.
