A luxury orthopedic dog bed, dog bowls and food scoop, and 4 acres of private property to roam and run are all included in your stay. The Neighborhood: PEC has evolved so much over the last few years, truly becoming a destination for wine, food, and nature lovers alike. A few things about this neighbourhood below, but don't worry — as part of booking a stay with us, you'll get complimentary access to a curated map of our PEC favourites! For now, a few things to know: Summer favourites — Hit the beach at Sandbanks — You'll get a complimentary parking permit, comfy beach chairs, and a YETI cooler for a seamless day at the beach. Winter favourites — Bundle up for a quick stroll to PECish Baking for some divine morning pastries (less than a 1KM stroll). Hit the ice rink at Parsons Brewing. Double down on Wing nights at Jackson's Fall Inn. Fall/Spring favourites — Hit The Old Third for French-style cider (the French co-owner migrated from his French vineyard to the County) or go for a bike ride on the Millennium Trail. All seasons — LBV is located right across from the Mill Pond for a 6 km stroll that's equally beautiful ANY time of the year. It's also SUPER close to BASE 31, PEC's military base-turned-event venue that is host to concerts (The Arkells, bluegrass bands, cabarets, etc) and a WW2 Air Force Base Camp Escape Room. And of course, the obvious: PEC is literally FULL of wineries, cideries, and restaurants from chefs who have traded in the city life for County life. Other Things to Note: Baby, child, and dog accessories are provided upon request We offer 2 parking passes for Ontario Provincial Parks (Sandbanks included) between May 1st and Oct 31st. There is a security camera located above the shed. This provides visibility of the driveway and side of house, but nothing beyond that. You can tell the hosts put a lot of attention and detail into making their guests stay memorable and hassle free. Directions and instructions on how to use some of tech and amenities including the heated yoga studio, sauna and projector screen were extremely detailed, any question or concerns were responded to quickly. As for the property itself, the decor was extremely calming and welcoming a great place to relax and enjoy all the sunlight that pours in. The kitchen was equipped with 99% of what you would need, the hosts even provided local whole bean coffee for your stay, which was a nice touch. All bedrooms were a generous size and the beds were very comfy. We made use of the sauna and heated yoga studio which was thoughtfully equipped with yoga mat and mat towels (again the hosts thought of everything!). We also headed to the sandbanks Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the parking permits provided allowed us to obtain free parking for 2 vehicles. The beach was amazing and even for a weekend wasn’t too crazy. The county is a lovely place to visit, but with the February freeze we chose to stay in. We enjoyed local wines and home cooking, rediscovered the joys of reading in front of a fire, played games, relaxed in the glass walled sauna as the snow swirled and at the end of the day, enjoyed movies on the cinematic 120" screen. On the recommendation of our hosts, we adventured out only once to discover the delights of the PECish Bakery.The house is bright and airy, yet cozy and intimate. The decor is tastefully minimal, but with all the lovely little luxuries at hand. Any concerns were anticipated or answered with quick and clear communications.
