Took the family for a peaceful vacation to spend time together. We enjoyed the views and the fire pit held a nice fire every night. The house is as pictured and was comfortable. The kayak’s were a bonus and the kids enjoyed them. Would stay again. It was a little drive to get anywhere but it was a beautiful drive and we visited several lakes and even went to Lake Superior. Cabin was clean and spacious. Had 4 boats on a fishing trip, they all fit on the dock. Small open garage near the lake was great to put extra poles and tackle. Bring extension cords to power boats because there isn’t power by the dock. Wifi was not good because it made you sign in every time you left the property. Jun 21, 2024 #### Presque isle lake fishing trip Every year (since 1989), my college buddies and I get together for fishing, friendship and fires. We need a place that can accommodate 6-8 adult men, with several loud snorers needing their own room. This place was prefect for that. As fisherman, we had three boats and the dock was able to fit all three comfortably. Note, when launching use the northern launch in the park on bay View road. It is paved. The southern launch that is close by, is not and does not have a lot of room to leave a vehicle and trailer (room for 2 or 3). The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Probably need more living room recliners...only two and they were popular with our group. Bed were comfortable enough. Outdoors...the firepit was nice and large. We found it very comfy and a place for all 5 of us to relax. Air conditioning works great! Typically most rentals will have some left over amenities from previous visitors; tin foil, spices, garbage bags…this did not. Jul 2, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location #### Somewhat disappointed The first floor is nice and spacious. The upstairs is cramped - for sleeping only. The owner locked the thermostat which prevented me from turning on the air conditioning - it took many hours to resolve. Vacasa was helpful and prompt. There was a pathetic lack of glassware. The pier was not stable. There was only seating for six on backless stools around the kitchen table. Basic supplies like coffee filters and garbage bags was limited. I expected more for the cost.On the positive side, the deck was nice as was the looped driveway and ground access to the basement making fishing gear storage convenient.
