This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin is equipped with modern day amenities while still making it seem like you're on a grand adventure. North Star Acres is located on the outskirts of town making it a great place for viewing Native wildlife, stargazing and relaxation. Here you are surrounded by open space filled with beautiful Arizona sky, native trees and mountain views. Prescott offers activities year round! Breathe in that delicious mountain air as you find peace in the winter snow or cool summer weather. Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo (July 4th), many parades, special events at Halloween, Thanksgiving, Lighting of the Courthouse in early December, Christmas festivities, and watching The Whiskey Row Boot Drop for the New Years Eve Event. The summer Concert Series brings free events to the Courthouse Square, where you can bring your chairs, sit back and take in the splendor of Prescott. Prescott has many hiking trails from light and easy and those for the adventure seekers who enjoy a more rugged terrain. You may want to go see the Grand Canyon which is 1-1/2 hours away. Beautiful Sedona is an hour away, Jerome is 40 minutes and Flagstaff 1-1/2 hours away. If you want to see some local animals then our very own Heritage Park Zoo is a short 15 minute drive. The Granite Dells park is a gorgeous picturesque adventure and to name a few others we have Goldwater lake, Willow Creek and Lynx Lake. So many wonderful places to experience and enjoy! INSIDE THE HOME Living room: Here you will be able to relax and enjoy streaming access to your Netflix, Amazon, or Hulu accounts on the smart tv. Cozy up to a good book next to the wood fireplace. Kitchen: A lot of thought has gone into stocking this home to provide you with everything you could possibly need to feel at home. Appliances include, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, gas oven/stove, toaster, blender. Bathroom: Located off the living room it features a claw-foot tub perfect and plenty of storage space. Downstairs Bedroom: A king sized bed, small tv, dresser and a closet. Loft Bedroom: Features a queen sized bed, a twin day bed with twin trundle, small tv and small desk. Loft Bathroom: Located off the upstairs bedroom, it features a shower and plenty of storage. Laundry room: Off the main living space you will find the stacked washer and dryer with a supply of laundry soap and dryer sheets for your use. OUTSIDE The back yard is surrounded by a fence featuring an alligator juniper to provide lots of shade for the small sitting area. It is a perfect spot to enjoy the sunset. A great spot to enjoy your morning coffee is the front porch with various seating areas including two hanging pod chairs. The deck has a covered area and a retractable shade covering on the eastside, enjoy the sun or seek shade during the warmer months. The side deck overlooks onto the children's play area complete with climbing area and swing set. \*Other things to note:\* Please note, this property requires travelers to be on approximately 3 miles of dirt road. This is a graded road, however does have wash board at certain times of the year. BEFORE BOOKING please note that if your reservation requires a pet fee of $115, this fee will NOT be shown at time of booking. This fee will be requested through Airbnb once you've made us aware of the pet. It’s the guest's responsibility to let us know within 48 hours of booking if there are any pets, service animals or additional guests that weren’t originally listed at the time of booking. Changes made to the reservation after 48 hours of time of booking are subject to a $35 change of reservation fee in addition to the pet fee and/or additional guest fee. You have to first find a remote (on top of the TV with 4 other remotes) to turn on the upstairs light. Test all remotes to find out which one turns on the lights, and then and only then, can you use the wall switches to switch on lights the you need. And you have to do all of this in the dark, because you can't turn on the darn lights on the wall switch like in a normal house. Other than that , the place was wonderful. Clean, Easy to use. It’s a shame because it could be a cool place if it were taken care of better. The lighting sucked with burned out bulbs and was dark as a bear den. Rugs and towels were dirty as well. This is a fantastic property located on a nice quiet and private acreage that was just a wonderful retreat after longer days of hiking and taking part in other things in the Northern Arizona area. We stayed here with our dogs while moving our son in to college. This property met our needs perfectly! It is a comfortable, homey cabin in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Bed in downstairs bedroom was very comfortable. Property is remote and private which was nice. Roads going to the cabin are dirt but easily passable by any type of vehicle. Property has plenty of room for walking around and exploring. Kids would definitely enjoy. Would stay again. ##### Kevin B. Séjour de 5 nuits en avril 2023 ### 2/10 – Terrible #### Thomas T. 20 mars 2023 Points faibles : Propreté #### Do Not Rent This property There are so many negative issues with this property it's hard to describe them all: 1) you will have difficulty finding this cabin - it is not a house - as you must make about five turns off of a paved road onto 3 miles of different dirt roads to get there - hope that you have a good GPS; 2) the dirt roads are about 1.5 cars wide, bumpy and rutted; 3) the shower is on the second floor, a bath tube w/o shower is on the first floor. This makes no sense at all; 4) the metal winding staircase to get to the second floor is steep and narrow - it is dangerous. If you tripped on these stairs you could experience a serious injury; 5) these stairs intrude well into the living room where you could easily knock your head against the metal structure; 6) the whole cabin is very poorly lighted - better bring a flashlight or a miners headlamp; 7) the whole cabin heater sticks out into the hallway - and you must get down on your hands and knees with a flashlight to adjust the heat as there is no wall thermostat; 8) the layout of this "cabin" is incredibly poor - I can see why this place has not sold; 9) as you leave, you will be responsible - on Tuesday night - for "trucking" out the large garbage container out to the road - 75 yards? - where maybe the trash contractor might pick it up - but only if it is placed just so; 10) the steps leading up to the porch are a tripping hazard and do not meet rise and run building codes - good luck with that; 11) there is an exposed nail head in the floor near the wall table - be sure to miss it - ouch; 12) Over all this place is a disaster - do not rent it unless you are just plain stupid; 13) P.S. the upper picture windows are filthy as was the living room rug. ##### Thomas T.
