This renovated two bedroom, two bathroom cottage provides modern amenities with the charm of a historic house. The home features local artwork, small dining area and a quaint front porch for sipping your morning coffee, as well as a private deck on the back with a propane grill and additional seating. Dog Shadows on Mount Vernon is a 5 minute walk to Historic Downtown Prescott and Granite Creek Park. Breathe in that delicious mountain air as you find solace in the winter snow or cool summer weather. Prescott offers year round activities including Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo in July, special events at Halloween, Veterans Day parade, Thanksgiving, Lighting of the Courthouse in early December, Christmas festivities, and The Whiskey Row Boot Drop for the New Years Eve Event. The summer Concert Series brings free events to the Courthouse Square, bring your chairs, picnic basket and enjoy the music on the Courthouse Square. Prescott offers many hiking trails from light and easy to those for the more adventurous seeking a more rugged terrain. You may want to go see the Grand Canyon which is 1-1/2 hours away. Beautiful Sedona is an hour away, Jerome is 40 minutes and Flagstaff 1-1/2 hours away. If you want to see some local animals then our very own Heritage Park Zoo is a short 15 minute drive. The Granite Dells park is a gorgeous picturesque adventure and to name a few others we have Goldwater lake, Willow Creek and Lynx Lake. So many wonderful places to experience and enjoy! INSIDE THE HOME Living room: A perfect gathering place to read, access your streaming accounts for a movie and cozy up after a long day of sightseeing and exploring. Kitchen: This open kitchen has everything you need to prepare your favorite meals, except the ingredients. Appliances featured are refrigerator, microwave, a coffee maker, dishwasher, oven/stove and toaster. Bathroom 1: Located in the hallway, it includes a walk-in shower and toilet. It has been stocked with all the necessary towels. Bathroom 2: Located off the bedroom, it includes a walk-in shower, pedestal tub and toilet. It has been stocked with all the necessary towels. First Bedroom: This bedroom features a full size bed, side table, lamp and alarm clock. The closet offers additional storage and drawer space. Second Bedroom: This bedroom features a queen size bed, bedside tables, alarm clock and a lamps. There is plenty of storage space in the closet and drawer space. Laundry room: This home features a stackable washer and dryer for your convenience. Please feel free to use laundry pods and dryer sheets that are available to you. There is an iron and an ironing board available for you to use. OUTSIDE The front porch provides a comfortable sitting area to enjoy your coffee and the Arizona weather. The back deck offers a private area to relax in the Arizona sun or BBQ on the propane grill. \*Other things to note:\* While your stay will be very private and you will have the home to yourself, this is a multi-family property. BEFORE BOOKING please note that if your reservation requires a pet fee, this fee will NOT be shown at time of booking. This fee will be requested through Airbnb once you've made us aware of the pet. It’s the guest's responsibility to let us know within 48 hours of booking if there are any pets, service animals or additional guests that weren’t originally listed at the time of booking. It is a great location, with easy entrance (few steps), a quick trip to downtown (or about a 15 minute walk, depending on your abilities). You can walk to The Waffle Iron for a tasty breakfast, or cook something in the kitchen. Water was not turned on and a few amenities were missing, as well as AC not turned on in prep for our arrival, it took a while to cool the place down. TJ (prop mgr) was quick to bring things over and get water turned on. One bedroom has no AC so it gets warm even with the fan going. Pillows were great but mattress was a tad uncomfortable in 1st bedrm. Master bedrm has its own AC and bath tub was WONDERFUL (shower door lets water out). Main bathroom clean with good water pressure & nice lighting, watch out for the dueling doors (from bedroom & entrance from living rm), they can hit each other, open door slowly! Kitchen was spacious with French doors to back patio. Keurig coffee maker was a nice touch. Warning water/ice dispenser NOT functional. Front porch seating was nice to sit and relax!! Watch out for the curbs they are sooo high in this neighborhood, you will hit your car door if you park too close, which has nothing to do with the rental property but be prepared.
