The apartment is on the second floor of a 16th century building. For history buffs, the bedroom has the original ceiling.We used the offered taxi service which in this case was the ownwer of the apartment. He met us at the airport and helped us to carry our bags up the stairs to the flat. There is a grocery store about 5 minutes walk, near the entrance to the Charles Bridge. There are many restaurants close by. We found the location to be perfect - easy walking distance from all the main sights but away from the masses of people. The hosts were extremely helpful prior to our arrival and on the day of our arrival helping us find parking. The neighborhood is very safe as it is where the US and German Embassies are, and the little pizzeria served great dishes! The only reason I didn’t give this place a five star rating is that there were a couple of issues that need repairing that made the experience less than the five star it could be.
