The Yurt Step inside and you’ll find a warm, inviting space complete with a comfortable queen bed, cozy seating area, and a wood stove to keep you toasty on cool evenings. The yurt is tastefully decorated with rustic accents that complement its natural surroundings, while large windows and a skylight invite the outdoors in. At night, you can drift off to sleep under a blanket of stars and wake to the gentle sounds of birdsong and water lapping at the shore. Amenities Your stay includes: Wood stove & firewood for warmth and ambiance. Fully made-up bed with fresh linens, blankets, and pillows. In summer, the pond is perfect for a refreshing dip or simply lounging by the water’s edge. In winter, the snow transforms the property into a serene wonderland ideal for snowshoeing or cozying up inside with a good book. Local Attractions Located in Powassan, Ontario—a charming, quiet farming community—our property is just 25 minutes from North Bay, where you’ll find shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions. The area is known for its beautiful natural landscapes, hiking and cycling trails, and seasonal farmers markets. Additional Details The Pondside Yurt is a three-season accommodation, open from spring through late fall. No pets allowed (we have plenty of friendly farm animals to meet!). Suitable for children, but please note the proximity to the pond. Parking is available on-site.
