The villa is situated on the main road (Amalfi state road) completely served by shops, restaurants, and local, regional, and national means of transport. The villa is a corner of paradise located "in the upper Positano", with the privilege of being able to choose both an alternative holiday, away from strictly tourist routes, and dive into the holiday turnover of the Amalfi and Sorrento Coast. Villa Field in the 17th century was a canonry, later abandoned. Subsequently purchased by the Spreafico couple, it was transformed into a welcoming house with a vaguely Arabic flavour in the style of traditional local houses. Especially its atrium (or patio) with its bubbling fountain reminds one of certain Moroccan dwellings, as do its white walls, masonry seats, and the abundance of plants. Inside, each room has its beautiful coloured majolica floor, starting from its lovely living room, which is divided by an arch from the very modern and well-equipped kitchen area. A staircase leads to the upper floor, which can also be accessed from the outside, with stone steps going up, in an almost spiral-like path, to a kind of loggia that houses the rooms. Finally, and highly scenic, two wide terraces offer a sensational view of Positano. The small beaches and its sea invite you to sunbathe during the day and dine at the wrought iron table in the evening. The house also enchants with its silence, as it is perched high on the slopes, yet just a stone's throw from the centre. KITCHEN: Internal kitchen equipped and complete with all necessary services such as induction hob, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, microwave oven and electric oven, kettle, etc. RED ROOM: First double bedroom with red tones, king-size bed, 40' flat screen TV, wooden chest of drawers and coat rack, private bathroom in the room. BLUE ROOM: Second double room with blue tones, king-size bed, 40' flat screen TV, wardrobe and TV. CAMERA 3: Third bedroom with French sofa bed with thick memory mattress, single bed pouf in addition. SERVICES: The villa has air conditioning and WiFi The house is equipped with bed linen and towels, with linen change provided after 7 days. RULES: Check-in: from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. LATE CHECK-IN: Please note that for arrivals from 8:00 PM, a supplement of €30 will be applied. For arrivals from 11:00 pm, the supplement is € 50\. Check out: by 10:00\. Guests will need to provide an identification document for completing the police registration form. The accommodation tax amounts to € 2.50 per night per person for the first 7 nights, to be paid in cash upon arrival. Children up to 9 years old are exempt. Upon request, you can leave your car at a car park with a valet service for the sum of € 50 per day (depending on the size of the car). THE SURROUNDINGS: Thanks to the mild climate and the beauty of the landscape, Positano has been a holiday destination since the time of the Roman Empire. The town is full of stairs and characteristic alleys that from the top of the town descend down to the beach, where it is a pleasure to spend free time walking and visiting boutiques, art galleries and limoncello factories. The main beaches are Spiaggia Grande and Fornillo, both accessible on foot, while to be discovered are: La Porta, Arienzo and San Pietro Laurito, all mainly reachable by sea. An important strength is also the church of Santa Maria Assunta with a magnificent dome made of majolica where inside is the famous Byzantine icon of the Black Madonna. Near shops, grocery stores, bars and restaurants. The apartment is located on the main road of the Amalfi Coast and nearby there are grocery stores, pharmacy, bars and bus stops. The internal public bus Flavio Gioia allows you to reach the centre of Positano from the apartment in 15 minutes, while the SITA SUD public bus runs daily from Positano to Sorrento (15 km) and Amalfi (18 km). This is a stunning place to stay. It's beautiful, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The outdoor decks and spaces have postcard views. My review is 5 star all the way. The check-in team takes good care of you and can arrange drivers and day trips. We had my wife and I and two young adult kids and it was great for all of us. Highly recommend! One note to mention is that this villa is higher up in Positano, which means you get great views and you also are away from the crowds down low. But be prepared to climb a lot of steps to get back to villa. There is a market pretty close by, but the main stuff is pretty far down. Going down is no problem (10-12 minute walk to beach) but up is rough. Most days we went to the taxi company and paid 30 euros for a car to take us back up to villa. The home is exactly as advertised - beautifully appointed, very clean with many great terraces. It’s perfectly situated for the best views of town and the sea. There are three bedrooms, all with doors that open to a terrace. Two of the bedrooms are connected, which works well for a family or close friends. The bathrooms are fantastic! A lovely hot tub on one of the top terraces is a great place to relax at the end of the day. The villa is accessible by car - important for arrivals and departures - and is a 10-15 minute walk down the hill to the beach. Our hosts were also excellent. They provided everything needed before and during our stay. We were thrilled with Villa Field and would happily return next time we’re in Positano. ##### Brian B. Just some chairs and small table but you shouldn’t be on a couch much if you are visiting Positano. Our only real gripe would be the beds were not comfortable. The view was beautiful and I didn’t realize how amazing it was until I notice many people stopping on the road below to take photos every day. You won’t spend much time inside because the multiple verandas have so much to offer. The home was very clean and the showers were very roomy for Europe. One shower has an amazing window to view Positano while you shower. Valerio our host was amazing and helped us with recommendations and transportation. He did everything he could to make our stay simple. Beds are okay, especially for Europe. The pool is not a hot tub and it will only get to 23 degrees Celsius. So, unless it is much warmer, it is a bit cool to get in. The average temperature while we were there was in the low 70s degrees Fahrenheit, so that may make the difference. We were in Positano for a wedding and I was disappointed that I could not have a few guests over. This is a view you would want to share with family and/or friends you might be traveling with. Antonio explained this was by law. So, if you want guests over, I would suggest registering them as guests and pay the minimal tax fee. Valerio and Antonio were very helpful in organizing transportation from Naples. Valerio met us at the Villa and showed us around. He was so personable and kind. He is genuinely a phenomenal person. I was so impressed by him. He was available throughout our stay for any questions. The Villa was spectacular. It was clean, beautiful, and the views are breathtaking. The flowers that surround the outside are incredible, and the lemon tree made us so happy. It even had ripe lemons for us to eat! The tile in the different rooms and bathrooms was stunning. It is all original and approx 150 yrs old. The showers are great, the beds are comfortable, and the AC works well. Every time I walked out onto the balconies, I would say aloud, "Wow". A short walk down the street are a couple of markets. One sells fruits and vegetables and the other sells everything else. Right by the market there are stairs that lead down to the beach. Without kids it only takes 15 min to get down there. With kids, about 20\. Lots of fun shops and another grocery store along the way. We loved the exercise! We walked to both Spiagga beach and Fornillo Beach with three young children, ages 8, 5, and 1\. I recommend a baby carrier. The villa is right in the center of everything. The view is worth the trip up and down the stairs. The kitchen is well stocked and we had everything we needed to make our own meals. It is my new favorite memory. The door by the kitchen doesn't lock, but other than that, our stay was perfect.
