The penthouse flat is approx. 80 m2 in size and is located in a converted mountain hut at approx. 1,450 metres above sea level with panoramic views (terrace with barbecue) over the entire valley and the lake. It has an open-plan kitchen with wood-burning stove and an additional gas cooker (without oven) in the same room there is a large corner bench with table and chairs as well as a wall unit. There is a small storage room with a fridge, plenty of crockery, glasses, pots and pans as well as sufficient wood for the stove. Via an exposed staircase you reach the bedroom with double bed, as well as a single room and another small single room, there is accommodation for 2 - 4 people. Electricity is generated and supplied by a solar panel. A comfortable bathroom with shower (in the bath) and WC round off the offer. Bed linen and a basic supply of bath towels, tea towels, toilet paper, washing-up liquid etc. are provided. You will also find many useful items for everyday life in the flat (walking sticks & rucksack, books, games etc.).
The flat is not suitable for people with walking difficulties, as there is a staircase to the bedrooms (upper floor). Non-smoking flat.
Poschiavo is easily reached by car (6 km) for grocery shopping, the glacier mills in Cavaglia are also 6 km away.
Other sports and leisure activities: Wonderful hikes or walking tours to CAVAGLIA, SELVA, ALP GRÜM, SASSAL MASSONE, POSCHIAVO, LE PRESE, VAL DI CAMPO, VELTLIN etc. can be undertaken from here or you can ride your bike to the neighbouring Valtellina. For your daily shopping we recommend San Carlo (bakery that not only sells bread but also sausage and cheese) or the many small shops in Poschiavo that sell everything or the COOP. There are also small and fine shops to visit in the village centre. If you don't want to cook yourself, you can visit the various restaurants in the valley, which also offer Poschiavo specialities. Poschiavo itself has stately patrician houses, a picture-book village centre, a Wednesday afternoon market in summer, an indoor swimming pool, Casa Console art museum, ethnological museum, Casa Tomé, Aino mill, hand weaving mill, the old monastery, churches worth seeing, the glacier garden in Cavaglia, the Ocostro trail, the conservation-forest-man educational trail, the circular viaduct in Brusio and the Bernina Express railway line, which has been a World Heritage Site since 2008.
