We loved the art gallery, lunch, dinner and the karaoke. A very relaxing place by the sea. The only issue is some other guests that stayed up late talking and listening to music a bit louder than it should have been The manager was very quick to explain to them that there were other guests so they turned down the music. The room was quite nice, spacious and very clean. We left a night earlier. The overall cleanliness and maintenance of the place and vicinity was very poor. We left a night early because of that. Also the restaurant closed after 3:00PM Sunday, so no place to have diner. The towels were all stained. The structure did not feel safe either, with a steel reinforcement and a notable inclination is the structure. Low water slow on the shower. Rayo Verde had a great breakfast for us each day, as well! This beautiful historical village, located on the Caribbean seashore is just a couple of hours away from Panama City, is a perfect getaway to nature and peace! I stay in Casa Congo every time when I go there! Great comfortable rooms, beautifully decorated with the works of the local artists, and an amazing view of the bay when you wake up! A picture 1000 words cannot describe! Friendly and efficient team with great hospitality and a great seafood restaurant with the best Puplpo I ate. A beautiful gallery on the ground floor presents local artists work. This time we were 3 people to celebrate our birthday so we booked the apartment in the other building - Casa Rayo Verde! Fully equipped and simply great! The power went out during the night, so we did not have AC until early morning. The breakfast service was good but when I asked if I could top off my small cooler with a bucket of ice, they said no it costs $2\. Really? it's not the $ it's the principle. The power went off! Did I get a refund? No. The parking is tight here and it took 30 minutes from arrival to finish check-in process. Oh, we heard the closest beach costs $50 for a group, so we drove to another public location and parked for $5\. The beach was crowded and dirty so we stayed for 2 hours and left before the traffic became a problem (Sunday).
