Porto Santo With Easy Jet's direct flights from Lisbon and Porto, Porto Santo is now a Accessible destination all year round. Porto Santo is the smallest inhabited island in the Madeira archipelago. It is located in the Atlantic Ocean, in the extreme southwest of Europe, just 500 km from the African coast, 1000 km from the European continent and an hour and a half flight from the city of Lisbon. Discovered in 1418 by Portuguese navigators, this archipelago is formed by the islands of Madeira and Porto Santo and also by the uninhabited islands of Selvagens and Desertas. The hospitality and friendliness of the population, the mild climate throughout the year, the spectacular unique landscapes, along with the richness and variety of natural, historical and cultural resources, are just some of the reasons to discover this paradise. The island of Porto Santo is bathed by turquoise waters, its main feature being the beach of fine, golden sand which, stretching over 9 km, invites you to sunbathe and swim in the sea.
