The apartment is in a great location with a great view. It had everything we needed for a great stay in Porto. We had a few issues when we first checked in... a broken microwave, a slow draining shower, and a burned-out light blub but the hosts were quick to resolve the problems the following day. One thing to note is that there is no elevator and the apartment is on the 4th floor. My husband was able to carry our large suitcases up the narrow stairwell but for some, this may have been a real problem. The apartment is spacious but we would have liked more closet space and better lighting. All in all, it was a great place to stay. ##### Ron and Sabina B. The views of the city, park and tower were beautiful, even saw a wedding from the window. There are many shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance as well as all the sites. Note there are lots of hills and cobblestone streets in town. We had to move our 4-day trip up by one day and the owners were very helpful and communicative. During our visit we had a drain issue in the shower and they delivered a plumbing product within 2 hours which fixed the problem. The apt. has everything you need, toiletries, kitchen tools, ironing board, espresso machine and mini fridge. The bed is firm but comfortable and note - this is technically on the 4th floor as the first, "Zero" floor has no units so be prepared to climb. (55 steps. We counted.) Another note - toilet paper and paper towels are not restocked if you're staying for a longer period of time but there is a very affordable Minipreco grocery mart within walking distance to stock up. The hot water tank is smaller than the average US tank so take quick showers or take them at least 30 min. apart. Make sure you try the gelato shop downstairs, it's fantastic! The place is excellent in all respects including sound insulation on a very busy street- but one. Our apartment was on the 3rd(European 3rd) floor and there is no elevator.
