En arrivant à l'appartement après avoir exploré la ville, vous vous détendrez sur la terrasse ensoleillée en dégustant un vin de Porto, avec en toile de fond la belle vue sur le quartier des « Duques » avec ses grands arbres. L'appartment est situé dans un bâtiment de style Art nouveau à Porto. Les travaux de restauration sont le fruit de notre engagement dans ce projet familial. Au rez-de-chaussée, vous trouverez un salon où vous pourrez préparer votre boisson (nous fournissons les boissons à nos hôtes), choisir un livre sur l'étagère du couloir, écouter de la musique, et respirer l'atmosphère de l'époque, l'atmosphère typique de une maison bourgeoise de Porto du début du XIXe siècle au XXe siècle Par l'ascenseur ou les escaliers, vous montez à l'étage de l'appartement. L'appartement est très confortable, lumineux et fonctionnel, même pour des séjours plus longs. Le décor ouvertement éclectique est ponctué de pièces d'époques et d'origines différentes. Toutes ces pièces sont authentiques et ont été récupérées. C'est le seul moyen d'atteindre une véritable durabilité de la planète et le respect de la nature. Tout le vieux bois et les poutres de la maison qui devaient être remplacés ont été réutilisés pour fabriquer certains meubles, notamment les lits et les têtes de lit. Parmi les meubles classiques, une commode ancienne, un canapé portugais du XIXe siècle, et un ancien coffre chinois, vous trouverez des meubles portugais des années 70 et la chaise iconique que le designer portugais José Espinho a dessinée dans les années 60 pour Olaio. L'éclairage est conçu pour que vous profitiez d'un grand confort. Vous trouverez différentes lampes de notre collection, des appliques hongroises d'un hôtel de Budapest, à la lampe portugaise des années 70 au plafond du salon. Le quartier "Duques" est l'option idéale pour votre séjour, c'est le quartier le plus cool, avec âme et charisme du centre de Porto. La Faculté des Beaux-Arts de Porto y est implantée. Vous y trouverez des boutiques locales de qualité, des galeries d'art, d'excellents restaurants et des options végétaliennes si vous le souhaitez. Il était considéré comme le 4ème quartier le plus cool d'Europe en : "10 des quartiers les plus cool d'Europe". (8 février 2020). "Le gardien" De ces rues couronnées de grands arbres et de belles façades du tournant du XIXe au XXe siècle, vous pourrez rejoindre à pied les principaux points d'intérêt du centre de Porto. The duplex itself is beautiful - spotlessly clean, exquisitely restored & designed, charming, warm and comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The hosts, Manuela and Jorge went above and beyond with the special touches and amenities in the unit and the common sitting room. We enjoyed the fruit, chocolates, pastries and port wine. The apartment is nicely decorated, well furnished, and in beautiful condition. We loved the terrace space and use of the washer and dryer on-site. The location was perfect...not exactly IN the high traffic areas, but a quick walk to get there. The neighborhood has several bars and restaurants close by, as well as a market. We went to the Vietnamese restaurant across the street multiple times and loved the Vinyl bar a block away. Both were fantastic! Mr. Jorge provided a map with some highlighted sites and areas of town we might want to visit. Check in and check out were simple! The host sat with us and mapped out the city, sites, restaurants, set up drivers for us and even had a nice welcoming of local wine and food for us. It is a lovely apartment in a wonderful residential section of Porto. Jorge is a wonderful host and had great recommendations on where to go for food and site seeing. We greatly enjoyed a bar in the area he recommended and ended our nights there each night. The apartment is well equipped and quiet. Would definitely stay there again. ##### tamara w. Lovely location, close to tourist attractions but a nice, quiet neighborhood. The apartment was perfect in every way for four adults. Manuela and Jorge provided an extensive amount of amenities from a large fruit basket to local wine and port. The common area was a nice stop after a long day of sightseeing. Everything is just as presented in the listing, very clean, beautifully decorated and well stocked with every convenience provided. Even beautiful dishes! Wish we could have stayed longer. This beautifully remodeled apartment was in an old beautiful tiled building from the 1930’s. They have a sitting parlor as you come in so we were able to leave our bags and relax, Manuela brought up a beautiful bowl of fruit and many bottles of wine and port. She went over our map and recommended several good restaurants. Best VRBO I have ever stayed in!!! ##### Hillary C. The owners provided us with every possible resource for our stay, and even did laundry for free. We sat down with them for an hour and learned the history of the building (built in 1911) including their history of purchase, and the 7- year renovation project by the architect owner. The hosts were amazing, extremely knowledgeable, obviously had high standards, and couldn’t be more cordial. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the apartment. The corner building is located in Os Duques of Bonfim a quiet and safe neighbourhood, just a short walk from Porto’s many attractions in the more touristy downtown area. We were astonished at the detail and authenticity of the restoration and were lucky enough to book the Terrace Duplex apartment for our stay. On our arrival at the Terrace, we were warmly greeted by Manuela who took the time to give us a detailed list of the best of Porto’s museums, parks, restaurants and incredible attractions. The huge 2 floor apartment is an eclectic combination of high-end amenities along with early 19th century light fixtures, furniture and art, all reflecting Art Nouveau design. The main floor of the Terrace has a large ultra modern kitchen, loaded with amenities and a big terrace off the living room. The 2nd floor has another bedroom and bathroom. The Terrace and our hosts were just awesome. It was probably the most enjoyable and relaxed stay of our many travel experiences. We highly recommend a stay at Jorge and Manuela’s very special Terrace apartment. Thanks so much! ##### Mitch H.
