Wonderful stay
The property was exactly what we expected. The location was great. The view was beautiful and the amenities were appreciated. We especially enjoyed the restaurant downstairs. Super convenient, delicious and affordable. Overall the stay was exceptional. I recommend.

Gorgeous views, phenomenal host
The apartment is exactly as advertised with gorgeous views from both sides of the apartment, which has a terrace on one side and a smaller deck on the other. While compact, it doesn't feel cramped and it has automated shutters if the sun gets to be too much. It is in a fantastic location, just across the bridge from Porto on the main drag of Gaia. We preferred this area because it is close to everything but not as crowded/touristy as Porto. The apartment has everything needed for a short stay, including a washing machine. With two elderly people in our party, we were a bit concerned about the tub/shower, but both managed just fine. Note that there are several steps to get up to the building entrance, so the apartment may not suit those with more severe mobility issues, but there is an elevator from the lobby to the apartment. The only drawback we experienced was that our party found the mattresses to be slightly uncomfortable, but this may not be an issue for others. Helena was a wonderful and responsive host, including dropping everything on a Saturday to come rescue us when the key got stuck in the lock. On the whole, we greatly enjoyed our stay at the penthouse in Gaia.

Great location and exceptionally nice accommodation
The location of this apartment is fantastic - right next to a metro stop and with a supermarket and bakery opposite. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The view from the bedroom balcony was great! Thank you for a great stay.

Amazing view from Gaia
This property is as advertised. Super clean, lot's of room and a small but yet complete kitchen. The font balcony is great in the morning and gives you a feel for the city life. The back balcony. Well, let's just say we spent 90% of our time there. Amazing view of porto, the river and of course the sunset. We preferred this side of the river as it was not so busy and were able to walk to porto across the bridge is less than 10 minutes. Many great restaurants walking distance from the apartment as well as a full size grocery store. We highly recommend this property when visiting this area. And the host is super nice and responsive as well.

The apartment was very clean and very comfortable. Nice towels and linens. The bed was comfortable and the room had nice sized closets. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Large windows in all the rooms. The best part were the two outdoor balconies. The views are great and a good place to relax! Location was phenomenal. Close to the bridge, Metro, bakery, and a grocery store. We walked to Porto and back most every day. Check-in was quick and efficient. I highly recommend this place!!

Great Stay
This is a lovely apartment and is much nicer than the photos suggest. It is very well maintained with shining hardwood floors and high ceilings. It is tastefully decorated and was very clean. The air conditioning was quiet and effective, although with the 2 decks and windows it was easy to have a pleasant cross breeze. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels of good quality. Although the kitchen is quite small, it has everything we needed to prepare simple meals. The washing machine worked very well and was a nice feature. The views are very impressive. Perfect to capture some amazing photographs. The location was great, very close to everything but out of the touristy crowds. The host was very easy to communicate with. Her book of information was superior to most places we have stayed. She very patiently waited to greet us when our train was delayed.

Lovely and convenient
Great view, very clean and spacious, air conditioners and sun blowing shades worked excellent. As stated it was well stocked for a two night stay, we stayed 4 nights and bought supplies. Lots of toys available for kids. Only negative was that my wife did not find the beds, bedsheets and towels soft enough.

BEST spot for view of and visit to Porto!
We couldn't have been more please with our choice! Being across the river and south of Porto, and able to view it every evening from the balcony of this well appointed apartment, was just PERFECT. While we enjoyed out entire trip to Portugal (Porto, Algarve and Lisbon/Sintra), our favorite part of the trip was Porto and a day trip to the Douro River Valley wine area. Truly hope to go back some day! Obrigado
