Boavista Palace Apartments - Porto's Finest!
Boavista Palace Serviced Apartments is my favorite place to stay in Porto. Their team are extremely professional and friendly; the apartments themselves are spacious (ask for one on a higher floor so you'll have a great view), and the location near Casa da Musica, Bom Sucesso Market, and Cedofeita is perfect -- plus you're only a 2 minute walk to the Carolina Michaelis metro station .

My daughter was attending a piano festival with classes held at the Conservatory. This apartment is just a five minute walk away. It is also very convenient to Casa da Musica. This is not the touristy part of Porto, but even that can be just a pleasant 25-30 minute walk though wonderful backstreets full of great local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. The apartment has everything - stove, oven (that also doubles as a microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher. It is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and utensils. There is an electric kettle to boil water in and a toaster. There's a medium size grocery store about a 5-minute walk away that has pretty much every supply you would need. And every corner, it seems, has at least one small café/bakery where you can pick up pastries. The front desk staff speaks good English, is there 24 hours a day, and is very helpful. There is a great taxi kiosk in the lobby where you can just press a screen to call a taxi that will arrive in 5 minutes or less. The shower in the apartment is also nice, with god water pressure. About my only small complaint is that the light in the bathroom could be brighter and there could be one or two more convenient electric plugs around the apartment. We stayed in an apartment with a bed and a couch that converted into a bed. The bed was comfortable and the sofa bed more comfortable than expected. The apartment had two balconies. The roof area with chairs and coffee machine is great!

Great serviced apartments.
Great apartment in Porto close to metro station which is always a plus. The walk into town was fine with cafe's and supermarkets on route. Apt. is well fitted out and very comfortable.

Confortable and family friendly option
This is the second time I stay with my family at this location. It is the best option to accommodate a family of four. It’s spacious, comfortable and very clean. The rooms are recent and built with high quality materials which make the experience much more pleasant. We have used the parking garage and it was very convenient. Although requires an additional cost of Eur 5.00 per night, it’s well worth it during the cold nights that we experienced on our stay.

Superb apartment in ideal location
We booked a one bed superior apartment for 2 people. In fact we found a superbly designed spacious apartment with a king sized bedroom and large ensuite shower room, a study, a lounge/ dining room, a very well equipped kitchen (including washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven, microwave and just about everything else one could want) and a 2nd toilet. Cleverly hidden sliding doors meant that the rooms can be altered to provide up to 3 bedrooms (for up to 5 people) using the bed-settees in the study and lounge giving each bedroom total privacy. There is huge amount of wardrobe space. It was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. The beds were made and the rubbish collected daily and the towels change twice in a week. Very little noise can be heard within the apartment due to excellent double glazing (although it is in a relatively quiet area). Reception staff were very friendly and could not have been more helpful. They all spoke very good English and gave helpful advice on where to go and where best to eat. No need to get a taxi from the airport, Buy a 1 or 3 day metro pass from the tourist office at the airport. The metro station is a 100m walk from the apartments. Only 3 stops on the metro and we were in the main shopping area and tourist spots. Trains are every few minutes. Really great location especially as it is only a short walk to the fabulous Casa da Musica - do book a tour and a concert.

Great Value
Everything about the apartment was top notch. It was clean and well equipped with all the appliances including washer/dryer. It's in a quiet location and only a 2 minute walk to the metro. There is a mini market close by and a few restaurants and cafes in the neighbourhood. Having the one bedroom and extra space was a real treat compared to managing in a small hotel room. My wife and I stayed 5 nights and loved returning to the space each evening after a day of touring. Overall we found it to be a great value.

Quiet hotel close to public transit.
I was disappointed initially on the check in for our seven night stay. The room had been advertised on Expedia as a 2 bedroom, and I assumed there would be beds in both bedrooms. It turns out the script from the manager of the apartments had been altered by Expedia, and the apartment only had one bedroom and an office, which could contain a bed, or a couch in the living room which could be converted to a bed. But after the initial disappointment wore off in 30 minutes, we were able to really enjoy these accommodations! Very clean apartment in a quiet, safe location, but close to public transportation and access to tourist transportation buses. Full kitchen and a washing machine!!! (which we made extensive use of, since we had come off of an 11 day tour). There was always a friendly person on duty at the front desk to give us advice about activities and places to eat.

Lovely modern apartments
Boavista Serviced Apartments are very smart and modern with good quality furnishings etc. The apartments are serviced regularly and are very well maintained. There is plenty of storage space in the bedroom. The staff on reception are very helpful with good recommendations for restaurants, transport, trips etc and happy to book trips for you. Wifi works really well. The apartments are near to Boavista Rotunda so a fair bit out of town, not ideal for a holiday base although you can walk to the historic district is about 15/20 minutes. Taxis are readily available and arrive within a few minutes of ordering them and there are also Metro and Bus options.

Excellent accommodation in Porto
Stayed in the serviced apartment as a family of four in a 2 bedroom apartment and from day one we were well looked after. We arrived at about 9:30am (check in 12 noon), The concierge was very polite and checked if our apartment (on the 7th floor) was ready, it wasn't, so he gave us directions to a local store where we could buys things for the apartment. when we arrived half an hour later our apartment was ready. It is a truly first class apartment with modern furnishings, dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge/freezer. it consists of a main bedroom with en suite shower, TV/dinning area which serves as 2nd bedroom, a kitchen area, second toilet. The rubbish is emptied everyday and apartment cleaned every 4 days with towel and sheet changes.The concierge was always helpful with places to visit and how to get there. Only problem we had was with the air conditioner which stopped working a few times during the night, this was always fixed after a short trip to the concierge on our way out for the day. I plan on visiting Porto again and will definitely use the serviced apartments

My favorite hotel in Porto, without a doubt
Boavista Service Apartments may provide more value for money than any hotel I've ever stayed in in Europe. This is not an "apartotel" -- you really stay in an apartment, with a full kitchen than includes dishwasher and washer/dryer, a living/dining room + at least one full bedroom, with 2 flat screen t.v.. The reception is open until midnight, and downstairs outside there is a nice, affordable restaurant, "Syngular" that is open Mon-Sat. Furnishings are contemporary, and cleaning staff make beds and clean bathrooms daily (except Sunday) and clean fully twice weekly. The staff is friendly and professional. Wifi is free and strong. The location is also great -- less than 5 minutes walk to Carolina Michaelis metro station, a bit more to the Casa da Musica concert hall, and 20-30 minutes to Cedofeita/Clerigos/Baixa historic neighborhoods. I have stayed here often the past few years, and standards have remained first class. Strongly recommend.

We spent a week in Porto. The apartments were in a great position, a short walk from a Metro stop and there were buses to the beach from a stop only 100 metres away. Great city, lots of things to do and particularly enjoyed a day trip down the Douro - at 65 Euros an absolute bargain as it included lunch, drinks etc. Apartments are spacious and well equipped, we would definitely use them again when we return.

A great place to stay. The room had everything which I needed, ample space for clothing, well equipped kitchen. The location is good, quiet and easy to walk to downtown. Security / reception staff friendly and helpful. Just a shame there was not a small table and chair on the balcony.

Great place for business trip
This apart-hotel offered all I needed. Particularly liked having my own wireless router meaning fast and faultless internet. Light clean of room was also good each day and more than enough with fresh towels and bins emptied. Nice Italian restaurant on parallel street called La Toscana. Would go back here if I were to return to Porto again. The gym was small but adequate if you didn't want to workout outside.

Beware the fine print
We reserved a 2 bedroom apartment and the reason for what we picked was for 2 beds. When we got there, we were told that it was only a one bed and to to use any additional bed, including the fold-a-bed couch would cost additional funds. Then they showed a bunch of fine print to support their contention. The deskperson gave the impression that it got communicated wrong, but no matter what, in English, 2 bedroom means 2 rooms with beds and that is what is expected when one is reserving such. Besides that, it really is a great place at a reasonable price.

A brilliant place to live wile exploring Porto. Very good standard, clean and helpful staff. 1min walk to the metro that is the most convenient mode of transportation. The only negative thing is that the beds a very hard, butt we got used to it. Will definitely come back!

I'm a frequent traveller for business reasons. The Serviced Apartments Boavista Palace is without any doubt the best value place I've been to over the last 20 years (mostly in Canada, but also in China, Australia, Romania, France, Switzerland, Ukraine and in the USA). The apartments are huge, almost new (only two years old), fantastically equipped with high end appliances, very clean, and the service is first class! What else to say?

We stayed 4 nights and were very pleased with all aspects. We prefer selfcatering ,so having the small well equipt kitchen was great, a sitting room and a bedroom both really comfortable the bed was sooo comfortable. The wet room style shower was great. The reception staff were knowledgeable and so helpful. One even phoned our next accomodation in Lisbon for me and confirmed info. If you have only a small amount of luggage, you could catch the metro from the airport Carolinias Michaelanus, excuse spelling, is less than 5 mins from the hotel. We had a lot of luggage so took a taxi, just under €20. We bought Andante tickets 72 hrs €15 per person and well worth it, covers many transport aspects. 2 well over 60's

It's one of the best self-catering accomodations I have ever been. Great value as well. The hotel looks new and very comfortable. One double room and one single room and a living room that we used as a second double bedroom (with a sofabed).

Plenty of room at apartments- very modern fittings.Staff at reception were helpful at all times.Metro station around the corner though one could walk to city centre in about 20 mins.Plenty of shops and supermarkets nearby. Boavista though not in the centre of the tourist area , was a very nice suburb with plenty of small cafes and bars. Recommendations would be better directions to the apartments- apparently a new road which even the staff at boavista post office 200 m away had not heard of. Maybe greater communication on which days towels or sheets were to be replaced- we lost track of the timetable! HOWEVER- A GREAT APARTMENT AND WILL RECOMMEND.

When we arrived in Porto, the taxi driver did not know where the apartments were as it is a new street it is not on the map yet, overall we were extremely satisfied with our apartment, it was very very clean and comfortable, the staff were very helpful, as we had to vacate the apartment at 12mid-day but they kept our luggage as our flight was late in the evening,very convientley located only 2 minuets from the metro.

Boavista Palace serviced apartments
Spotless, conveniently located (only 2 minutes walk to metro) with very helpful staff. The apartment that is described as a 2 bedroom is not in fact 2 bedroom but a 1 bedroom apartment with a single sofa bed in an office and a double sofa bed in the living room.

Très bel appartement. Très confortable : le lit, la douche, le salon et la salle à mangé. L,'appartement est très tranquille et c'est parfait car le centre historique de Porto est très bruyant. Il y a tout, pas besoin de courir quoique ce soit, ils viennent tous les jours pour les déchets, papier de toilette etc....et il y a un lave-linge un lave-vaisselle etc...- À une vingtaine de minutes du centre et à cinq minutes du métro.Il y a le parc du palais de Cristal à 15 minutes très beau parc avec des paons, des coqs et une très belle vue sur le Douro. Nous avons été très satisfaits de tout. Merci
