This was a beautiful, historic property. The balcony, river view was worth every penny! The only possible complaint is that the carpet is a bit worn in the room but that’s all I can think of to point out

If you stay at the Pestana Vintage Hotel, expect to be pampered! We spent 6 nights right in the heart of the Ribeira area and loved every minute. This property offers delicious breakfasts, accommodating staff and an excellent location to explore the entire area. Our room was very spacious, with a soaker tub and loads of hot water to let you ease your muscles for the next day’s hilly walks.we loved it.

The staff were helpful and friendly. They provided excellent dining recommendations and tour advice. The location is central to the Port houses and other attractions. A wonderful breakfast buffet with free port and sparkling wine.

We really liked that the hotel is conveniently close to restaurants and shopping and just a short walk to Vila Nova de Gaia. The staff was very helpful and accommodating! I like the friendliness of the staff. They helped us book where we can dine, too. They even prepared a to go box for us to bring to the airport when they learned that we will not be able to eat breakfast because our flight was at 5 am. We also didn’t have to worry about our airport transportation because they arranged everything for us. We also enjoyed the vibe of the place. We watched the performers along the river. It was fun and vibrant.

Service and comfort was great!
We loved our stay. They staff made us feel so welcome and they were so helpful throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the hotel bar in the evenings with great cocktails and even a DJ. The breakfast buffet was also a very nice added touch. The location is perfect and the hotel has a lot of history and charm.
