Located just outside Espinho, but around a 2km walk along the broadwalk, which you can access at the rear of the hotel. Or a little bit more than 2km if you go via the main road, but with wide sidewalks. Uber here is the cheapest I’ve seen so around £5. The beach outside the hotel is rocky, but another 5 min walk to the left, you can find a sandy area. We arrived early and was allowed to make use of the facilities until our room was ready at 4pm. The staff were top notch and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was included and had a great selection. The room was a good size and cleaned everyday. This hotel is across from a Lidl supermarket incase you need to grab anything. I’ll also like to mention there are 2 saltwater pools but for indoor one, please pack your swim cap. There are plenty of chairs available indoor and outdoors. There is a hotel shuttle that takes you into Porto at 10am each morning if you want to go do some historical and wine tasting tours. If you are into casinos Espinho also has a casino. I would definitely stay here again!

Superb ! Staff super friendly, special mention to the restaurant staff , they were amazing as was the food, and the cleaning staff, it was the small touches that made all the difference, I really felt like I was being cared for. The salt water swimming pools were great , you can literally just float your woes away . A really quiet and calm atmosphere in the hotel Large safe outdoor parking . I could go on and on . I will definitely be back

The hotel and staff were all amazing. I do find I have to mention a couple of things though. When you stay in any hotel above 3 star, you expect to have a kettle and tea/coffee facilities in the room. This is not the case here. I had to request this and I was charged €19, which to me is unfair. I asked for an iron which didn’t work, it was changed two days after and then the next day, it was taken away. Why can’t this 5 star property have kettles & irons in every room.?? The staff I must mention are: Ana & Sofia at reception. Antonio at the door. Cècilia & Antonio in the breakfast/dining room. These members of staff went out of their way to help in any way requested, be it for directions, transport, food requests and just generally, very welcoming. Loved the place, the location and having a free hotel shuttle to & from the town centre everyday is amazing, thank you.

Breakfast there was a line up to even get into the restaurant/buffet area. Pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Evening restaurant had lovely food/wine, it was very enjoyable, the staff and service were fabulous

The service in the hotel reception was mixed - initially terrible, a woman who was rude and unhelpful. She was later replaced by better staff but their attitude remained largely cold and unhelpful. The facilities are disappointing and the hotel charges for everything - including a €22 for 1 hour use of the tennis courts and rackets. The shuttle service was unavailable while we were staying which meant an expensive half hour taxi ride into town. Would never visit this hotel again and would advise others against it.

It was a most pleasant surprise It is off season and it was warm and inviting Not to mention the Porto FC club stays there the night before their games - so pretty darn cool Highly recommend it The Bartender downstairs is awesome as well

The hotel & the holiday was excellent. The car hire firm conned me out of nearly £40 for a satellite navigation sysetem that the car had as a permanent fixture 😡😡😡😡

As it was the end of the season some of the decor and equipment showed signs of tiredness but that would only be expected in October. We preferred to eat out so cannot really rate the restaurant but breakfasts were varied and copious. We would have liked to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room for that early morning cuppa. The gym and pools, which we used every day, were great and the walk to the highly dramatic beach was convenient.

Property has a nice pool area. The beach area is rocky. The costumer service was horrible, checking in the staff was incredibly rude and there were hidden fees for everything. Not accommodating, got a room meant for people with disabilities with no shower or bathtub. Had to request a new room, was told to wait. The hotel is far from a 5 star hotel maybe in the 70s but most definitely not in his century. Also beware you will be isolated from everything if you don’t have a car all restaurants, cafes are 20-30 mins walk.
