This charming 42m2 Vila Nova de Gaia studio is the perfect romantic getaway for couples. The property is located on the 2nd floor and accessible by stairs. Designed with an open floor plan, the living room features a comfortable sofa and a wide-screen TV to watch all your favourite shows. There's also a private balcony to enjoy the fresh air and add a touch of outdoor relaxation to your stay. The kitchenette is fully equipped with essential cookware and cutlery, such as a stove, an oven, and a microwave, to prepare delicious meals. For added convenience, the property is equipped with a dishwasher for post-meal cleanup and ironing equipment for laundry. The bedroom, located at a mezzanine level, has a queen bed with complimentary hotel-quality linens for maximum comfort. The access is via 'witch stairs,' which are uniquely designed stairs. We ask guests to be mindful while climbing, as the design may differ from traditional stairs. The bathroom contains all the necessary amenities, including clean towels and complimentary toiletries. The studio is always professionally cleaned for your comfort. Enjoy your stay! Guests will have access to the entire home! Kindly note that this is a personal home, so please take good care of it as if it were your own. This area provides a perfect base for exploring Porto’s historic and vibrant wine district. Just steps away, you’ll find the famous Port Wine Cellars that line Gaia’s riverbank. Numerous cellars like Graham’s, Taylor’s, and Sandeman offer tours and tastings, providing an authentic insight into the production of Portugal’s renowned port wines. A short walk brings you to the Cais de Gaia riverfront promenade, a lively area with scenic views across the Douro River toward Porto’s historic Ribeira district. Along the promenade, there are numerous restaurants, bars, and cafes where you can sample Portuguese cuisine with breathtaking views of Porto’s skyline and the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge. For shopping enthusiasts, the El Corte Inglés department store is nearby, featuring an array of stores, a gourmet supermarket, and several dining options. Nature lovers can enjoy Jardim do Morro, a beautifully landscaped park that overlooks the river and offers some of the best panoramic views in the area, which are particularly stunning at sunset. Adventure seekers can experience a ride on the Teleférico de Gaia, a cable car that connects the riverfront to Jardim do Morro, offering unique aerial views of the city and river. Vila Nova de Gaia also has a great connection to Porto’s city centre via the metro and is just a short ride away from top attractions like Clérigos Tower and Livraria Lello. The property is easily accessible by public transport and car. The nearest bus stop, GNR, is just a 6-minute walk. The nearest metro station, Jardim do Morro, is just an 11-minute walk. The nearest train station, General Torres, is just a 13-minute walk. Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is a 21-minute drive from the property. This is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before enter into the property. Check-in can be done from 3 PM, pending availability and confirmation. Once a reservation is confirmed, guests are requested to complete a guest registration form following the legal obligations stipulated by local authorities in Portugal. There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at minimum. Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€. For the first days, we provide the basic amenities: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag. Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or service to open the door during your stay). Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee. Dec 14, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy Pros: good place overall, clean apartment, comfortable bed, well equiped kitchen, the heating works well (during winter let it at 28-30 so it heats the entire apartment). Quiet day and night. Internet works great. 2 minute walk to the riverfront, 8-10 minutes to Porto by foot by crossing the bridge. Some places to eat nearby, a few convenience stores too (they close a bit early though). Would stay again.Cons: no laundrymat nearby, the lock was very tricky to close, took a bit to get it right. Very hilly area, so hard if you're carrying lots of luggage (great views nearby though!). General Torres station is somewhat close but you need to walk up many stairs and then up a hill, it's not very pedestrian friendly. ##### Eric A.
