It's a bit of a hike to downtown Porto but the walk is lovely. Plan on significant elevation changes and lots of steps to get to the old city. The landlord had already provided a few important items for our breakfast and a large fruit bowl was waiting for us! He also accompanied us to the supermarket, as we arrived in the apartment shortly before closing time of the supermarket. Alvaro, thanks a lot !! He also gave us a lot of tips for possible excursions and sightseeing. Some information material was also available. Also during our two-week stay, the landlord repeatedly contacted us. In the apartment everything was available, which is not always self-evident. We did not miss anything. The way to the city of Porto on foot was easy for us , but often we also went by metro. By walking over the bridge Ponte Luis I., however, was spectacular! Since in the area of ​​the apartment the parking situation is quite tense, we recommend to rent a smaller car. For 2 people the apartment was ideal, for 4 adults it could be a little too small. In Porto and the north you can do a lot. We never got bored. And the Port wine is delicious! We'll be back!
