We were there in an ice storm. While it would have been better for property to be proactive and have ice remediation (doors frozen shut, treacherous conditions in parking lot, no safe walking path) in place, it seems the entire city had same mentality when it comes to winter storms. The rooms were clean and roomy and it was quiet and safe once inside.

Overall pretty good. The area felt safe, central, and the room was good. We had lots of issues with our keys not working bit that was it.

Could be cleaned better
There were hair clippings all over the bathroom counter and floor. Coffee maker had old coffee, not cleaned. Bed was comfortable though.

Great hotel, even better service.
This was one of the best places we’ve stayed. The front counter was extremely helpful, polite, welcoming, and overall just wonderful. We were staying at the hotel next door, we ended up just booking at the Residence as soon as a room was open. It was perfect for our family

The bedroom smells so bad the mattress, uncomfortable price doesn’t worth it. The front area access is not easy overall, I did not like the area or the hotel the hotel is too dark. The staff were so welcoming and they were very helpful. Everyone that work there was so friendly and welcoming If it wasn’t for them, I would give a zero star for this hotel. The hotel needs upgrading.

Had I known, I would’ve parked on the street
Check in was courteous and fast. I wasn’t aware of the $10/day parking fee since I’ve previously stayed there in the past and it was free then. I didn’t realize it until I received a $50 charge at the end of my stay. Oh well, lesson learned. Strike 1. I checked into the room to find out the lock gets stuck and called the front desk. Front desk clerk said “oh yeah, that lock gets stuck but I will send maintenance over” If you knew the lock gets stuck, why would you issue the room? Then as I get my clorox wipes out to sanitize the room and put my own bedsheets on the bed (seen too many travel horror stories), the tables and nightstands had this sticky brown gunk on it. Strike 2. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was hot. The neighboring area was pretty sketchy with homeless nearby and groups of people hanging out in cars and the sidewalk on an already narrow street made me not want to venture out past 8pm. Strike 3. I chose this hotel for proximity for work and one of the better hotels in north Portland but sadly, the homeless has created an unsatisfactory environment in that area that I hope those residents and guests that stay nearby can feel safe in the future.

The staff working the front desk was professional, courteous and beyond accommodating. From the front desk staff on /07/30 nights and the front desk staff on 07/31 helped us with our reservation and accommodated an early check in. The gentleman working the front desk on 07/31 even upgraded our reservation due to something minor. We were extremely appreciative. Furthermore, everyone at this Marriott from the housekeeping to the kitchen staff were professional and thoughtful. Thank you.

We arrived early. 95+ outside with a 16 month old baby. We were, Hot, tired and hungry. Desk clerk let us check in early, gave us a run down of where to eat. Our room was perfect. Close to access door where we parked, ground floor with close by access to the pool. Room was comfy, clean and cool. Great service, great room and nice breakfast the next morning. Happy grandma, mom and baby!

Die Qualität und Ausstattung der Zimmer war - wie von anderen Aufenthalten in diversen Residence Inns gewohnt - sehr gut, wir hatten eine Suite mit zwei Schlafzimmern.Viel Platz, extrem bequeme Betten und eine voll ausgestattete Küche! Wenn möglich sollte man diese auch für´s Frühstück nutzen. Das Inklusive-Frühstück in amerikanischen Hotels/Motels ist nur selten eine Offenbarung, aber dieses war wirklich unterirdisch. Nicht mal die sonst übliche Kombination aus Instant-Ei und Bacon war vorhanden. Der Parkplatz war entgegen anderslautenden Angaben offenbar umsonst. Die Gegend bietet außer Appartmentblocks nichts, zwei nahegelegene Restaurants haben Corona offenbar nicht überlebt, so dass man etwas fahren muss, um an Essen zu gelangen.
