Jul 23, 2025 #### A very small and compact space We did not realize there were very steep stairs inside this space. There was a handrail inside but once you got outside to the porch area there was no defined edge and no hand rail. My husband fell with a suitcase on those steps and into a plant and a chair sitting on the patio. He is on blood thinners and sustained several deep cuts requiring multiple trips to the pharmacy for bandages. The upstairs renters kept us up all night with arguments. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. We did not try the bed in the loft. The shower was great with plenty of hot water. The books and knick knacks were a pleasure to poke through. The location is really hard to beat. It’s a pleasant walk down into Old Port and all of the offerings of Washington Ave are even closer. There are bakeries and a market nearby. We loved everything about our visit to Portland, having only passed through the city, previously. The apartment lives up to the photos and is convenient to many things, if you don’t mind walking a few blocks or driving and parking. We did both and were able to visit a variety of areas around Portland. Can get to all restaurants on foot and very close to trails for running or walking. The trail around Back Bay is great for runners. Great neighborhood vibe and not right in the middle of things so it’s quiet too. Quick nap in the loft or read a book.
