Beautiful Modern Apt in historic Victorian

This modern ground-level apt has reclaimed wood accents, a kitchenette, new appliances and furniture, a luxurious shower, and comfy beds. A cozy, well-designed jumping off point for exploring Portland and its beautiful NW nature. Located right at the Dekum triangle restaurants and shops including Breakside Brewery, Firehouse restaurant, Woodlawn Coffee & Pastry, 10 mins to airport, 15 to downtown, 5 to Alberta Arts, and an easy drive to the Columbia River Gorge or Mt Hood. Great for couples, adventurers, and business people. All are welcome here.

The Space:
The daylight basement apartment of our 1890 historic Victorian home has a private entrance. Large reclaimed wood trimmed windows look out onto the garden, making this private and cozy space feel open and inviting. Our family lives upstairs, so we are available if needed, but completely give you your space if not. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen-sized bed and a large closet. The stunning kitchen with a full wall of reclaimed wood has a dining nook with seating for four, white quartz countertops, open shelving, and includes all new appliances including a powerful hot plate/cookwear, microwave, toaster oven, coffee machine, and electric kettle. The living room includes a new large L-shaped couch that pulls out to a firm queen bed. The bathroom has a spacious upscale shower and finishes. Each room has its own separately controlled heat. Enter the apartment through your own, separate side yard garden and enjoy your stay!

Lovely respite

Location, location, location! Close to Woodlawn Coffee, Breakside Brewery and a delicious pizza place, this delightful apartment is just what I needed to round out my visit to Portland. Also within walking distance to family, I was able to rest and enjoy time with loved ones.

Great bang for your buck!

My partner and I stayed here while visiting Portland for two nights. We brought our dog - and the place was perfect. Nice, quiet, safe neighbourhood and close to a few really great neighbourhoods (2 min walk). Park also right behind the house so it's awesome to take your dog for a pre-bedtime stroll. The interior is clean and spacious for a basement unit and was stocked with everything we needed - great coffee machine! If you're looking for more downtown feel with views, this aint it. But if you are looking for a quiet place to crash / watch netflix at the end of the day, this is the choice.

Cozy apartment in great location

We ere in town to visit family and wanted to be close to them. This apartment was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable, plenty of dish and glassware (especially considering it only has a kitchenette). Steps away from great restaurants/coffee/brewpub in one direction and a park in the other.

Perfect little apartment

Not senior friendly

Property was overgrown and walkway was not good for older people with balance issues. No handrail on stairs. Bushes grew into walkway. No exterior lighting. Entryway was dirty and spider-webbed. Interior was okay but dish towel in kitchen was stained. There was a column support with cement chipping and peeling. Not good value for the price.

Clean, convenient, and cute

I rented this space for my mother and nephew visiting from out of town, and it was great for them. It had everything they needed and is located by a park, coffee shop, a few restaurants, and a weekend farmer’s market.

Met all our needs

Eva was great with communication, the Apt was quiet, clean and next large park for dog walking. The Breakside Brewery is only 50 yards out the front door, for beer and burgers. Next door to that is Woodlawn Coffee and Pastry, which is a great place to start your day. Enjoyed our stay.

Christmas with grands

This was a perfect set up for us and great location. Quiet neighborhood backing a beautiful park which was perfect for taking our dog for walks. The master bedroom was nice and dark allowing us to sleep a solid 8 each night and tenants upstairs were exceptionally quiet. We heard them occasionally walking around but never during late night hours. We will be back - Because another grand baby is on the way!

Cozy Igloo

Very comfortable basement apartment. It had everything we needed. The white and ice blue colors, as well as the PNW art, reminded me of a cozy igloo. Soft, clean linens were a plus. Excellent location, too!

I loved staying here!!! It was very comfortable and cozy! Booking and check-in were very simple. I never met the owner, but was glad she lived upstairs just in case!! I didn't do much walking, but everywhere I needed to drive was very close by; especially the airport! The bed and sofa were comfy and there was a wonderful warm throw provided! The shower (which I am picky about) was wonderful!! The cute fridge and microwave work perfectly! I would for sure stay here again!!
