Originally a Sears kit house from the 1920s, this tasteful renovation preserves its original charm while incorporating modern touches. You'll fall in love with the refinished original hardwood floors, quartz countertops, new appliances, and restored vintage details. Just a short walk to Hub Brewery or a few blocks over to Division St, you'll find an endless array of eateries and drink spots to explore! The Space: This newly remodeled home beautifully blends classic charm with modern amenities. The refinished hardwood floors complement the quartz countertops and new top-of-the-line appliances and fixtures. While updating the home, care was taken to preserve its original character, including the cast iron clawfoot tub and tall ceilings. The remodel also brought the home into the 21st century with ductless mini-split A/C, as well as new plumbing and electrical systems. The layout is thoughtfully designed with one bedroom and one bathroom downstairs, and three additional bedrooms and another bathroom upstairs. The Neighborhood: Our charming home is nestled in the idyllic Division/Clinton district, also known as the Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood on local maps. Just four blocks away lies the historic Ladd's Addition, known for its beautiful rose gardens and unique diagonal street layout. While our home is situated on a bustling street, walking one block north will bring you to a serene residential area. You'll be steps away from some of Portland's finest restaurants, eclectic shopping, and convenient grocery stores, all within easy walking distance. Enjoy the vibrant local culture with nearby cafes, boutiques, and farmers' markets. The area is also well-served by public transit, making it easy to explore other parts of the city. The home was not available for some reason that was never explained. It took 2 hours for us to get resolution. We had to find a hotel. We ended up liking the hotel and had a better experience there than we would have had at the house.
