Otters, seals, bald eagles and a variety of birds can be seen from the windows facing Discovery Bay. Occasionally you can actually catch glimpses of the Orcas playing in the Strait. The main floor has windows facing the water that flood the rooms with natural light and allow for you not to miss a thing that happens. The open concept living/dining area has comfortable contemporary furnishings, dining area, a warming gaslog fireplace, Internet and free Wifi. A fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher is ready for you to whip up a meal or light snack. The downstairs master bedroom has a comfortable king size mattress, a full bath with both a shower and a deep soaking tub. It also has a private balcony. The upper floor offers the 2nd bedroom with water views, and main bathroom. There are two sofa beds for extra guests: in the living room and on the upper landing before arriving at the 2nd bedroom. Washer and dryer included, in a laundry room near the front door. Important note before you book: Guests are required to complete the Check-In Form provided by Brigadoon Vacation Rentals as a mandatory step to finalize their reservation. To ensure a smooth check-in process, a valid government-issued photo ID must be attached to the form. NO Pets, Smoking or Fireworks A discount of 10% off for 6-9 nights and 15% off for 10 nights or more will automatically apply at booking. Just 20 minutes to downtown Sequim, local gift shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Local adventures in Sequim will have you tour a Lavender farm, hike out to the historic Dungeness Lighthouse, or drive through the Olympic Game Farm. Discover the beauty of the rainforests, rivers, lakes and vistas throughout the Olympic National Park. Take a day trip out to the western beaches with their gorgeous sea stacks, or beach comb at the popular Salt Creek area Crescent beach where tide pools bloom with sea life you can touch and feel. Minutes from the community boat launch and dock. There is a separate rec room with foosball and ping pong. Farther down the hall is a fitness center. There is a pool and hot tub as well. Outside is a children's play set and a basketball hoop. Equipment can be checked out from the on site office. They are not affiliated with Brigadoon, but offer amenities on request. Whether you stay in and enjoy the peaceful view or venture out to explore the area, memories are sure to be made at the Orca Oasis. It’s unfortunate that more companies are doing this and it needs to be called out. - You’re asked to take off your shoes in the unit, even though it’s a combination of tile and low profile carpet that can handle shoes. - At the end of the stay they ask you to take out the trash; run dishes; and start a load of laundry. Do have a couple of recommendations: - Improve the beds. Good sleep is a big deal and these mattresses didn’t help with that. - Replace current toilets with modern toilets that are easier for tall or elderly adults to use. - There was moisture under the kitchen sink, and there was a musty smell.
