« Great house. Quiet and clean »

« We left immediately. Heavy use of cleaning chemicals masked an underlying problem with dust/mildew/mold. Our children complained of scratchy throats in first 30 minutes, we noticed it ourselves after an hour. Trash all over grounds as well as a general unkempt property, pictures show what we cleaned up for them before leaving. Mail overflowing mailbox. Should not be listed again without major modifications. »

« The house was the perfect quiet hideaway in a quaint little historic town. The layout is quirky but you soon get used to it and it all makes sense. ENORMOUS surrounding green space and perfect patio placement to watch the storms blow through. Well stocked and easy to reset. »

« Was looking for a low-key spot to enjoy the water with a couple of friends and we got exactly what we wanted. Was able to enjoy beautiful views of the water, got lots of sun but also was able to sit in the shade if needed. Seems very kid friendly so hope to be back with mine! »

« Our family absolutely loved our stay at Duvall House! The home was spacious enough for all 8 of us and had modern and spacious bathrooms and kitchen. The home is beautiful and filled with antiques and reproductions that make it easy to envision the past. Old Town Alexandria is a charming location that is filled with cute shops and eateries a short walk away from the house. Yet it is also easy to go into DC to see the sights there.
