Inspired by the Zac Brown Band, "Knee Deep in Paradise" offers visitors a peaceful and easy escape from the stress of every day life where your "only worry is whether the tide will reach your chair." We invite you to come visit our relaxing slice of paradise in the popular gated community of Barrier Dunes on beautiful Cape San Blas. Knee Deep in Paradise is a lovely, pet-friendly, 2 bedroom, 2 bath townhouse, with a sleeper sofa, to accommodate up to 6 guests. The first floor welcomes you into an open concept living/dining/kitchen area. We have comfortable seating and a large streaming TV, perfect for family movie nights after a fun-filled day at the beach. Our living area opens onto a wonderful screened-in porch with outdoor seating and a gas grill. We look out towards the St. Joseph's Bay and the entrance to the spectacular St. Joseph Pennisula State Park, which hosts one of the best beaches in the United States, ranked by Dr Beach. Our cozy dining table seats four (for meals or game nights) with additional seating at the spacious bar. Our kitchen has everything you need - a French door refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, an electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, k-cup coffee maker, crock pot, blender, plenty of cookware, dishes, and glassware. We have stocked our kitchen in hopes that you will eat, drink, and be merry together! Also on the first level is a bright and cheerful bedroom and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The bedroom is setup with two twin beds, has a wall-mounted streaming TV, and enjoys a wonderful little private deck that looks across to the neighborhood playground, which is a perfect place for kids to enjoy. Upstairs we have a private, spacious, comfortable master suite with a nice king sized bed, a large streaming TV, and a private deck that looks out at the bay. Take a cup of coffee out there and watch the sun rise. You can't help but relax in this beautiful place. The vanity area has double sinks, and the bathroom has a wonderful garden tub for soaking, as well as a separate shower. There is also a full size washer & dryer in the laundry room on this level. Whether your babies have two or four feet, all are welcome in our home. We have installed two permanent baby gates, one at each staircase to help keep everyone safe. Once you are all settled in, we are just a short 5 minute walk through the complex to the beautiful beaches of Cape San Blas. Barrier Dunes has 3 easy beach access points. We have beach chairs, beach toys, and a cart for your convenience, as well as an outdoor shower with hot & cold water for rinsing sandy toes and paws when you get back. Our community is a great place for people of all ages. We have two tennis/pickleball courts, ponds where kids love to feed the resident turtles, a boat cleaning station with overflow boat parking, safe streets for walking your dog or riding bikes, and two swimming pools. One pool is centrally located in the complex, and the other pool is gulf front with covered picnic tables and a gazebo overlooking the sugar white sand and beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Our townhouse is situated on a small horseshoe bend that gives you a real neighborhood feeling. It's peaceful and quiet and a little off the "main drag" and overlooks the wonderful neighborhood playground with all new play equipment. Our unit offers a wonderful place for families to make happy memories together, as well as the perfect spot for snowbirds to enjoy an escape from harsh winters. Overall location was perfect - a short drive to the nearest store and towards the state park. The unit was clean and perfect for us and our pets and kiddos. We loved being able to have our dog with us! Lots of dogs at the complex too. We enjoyed the beach and pool. The unit is in the back of the neighborhood as described and just a short walk to the beach - our kids are 6, 3 and 1 so we brought the older two scooters and pushed the baby in the stroller and it was perfect! The beach cart and chairs provided were appreciated. I also really appreciated the communication with Carolyn - we had an issue with the power one day (not the fault of the rental at all, weird accident where someone hit the power box!) but they were super quick to respond and even came out and personally assessed with the fire dept and power company!! The beach cart was helpful when going to the beach as it is 0.26 mile walk to the beach sand. There are 3 accesses. One is ramp only, the other 2 have some stairs. Good to know for anyone with mobility issues. The townhome is well stocked, very clean, was accomodating. Everything worked. Sitting on the screened patio was nice. We have two daughters age 21 and 18\. They love having a pool to enjoy and the convenience to the bay. We always enjoy the community feel at Barrier Dunes. The townhouse was well decorated, extremely clean and the management team was very responsive. We will stay here again. ##### Wendy N. Our condo was amazing and despite some crazy high humidity we had a wonderful time. The walk to the beach was simplified by fact that they had a cart to load everything up for one trip instead of several and an outdoor shower to de-sand before going back inside. The unit was full of small decorating details that we would discover throughout our stay and the screened-in porch with a fan was delightful to sit outside and enjoy the bit less humid evening’s. It rained the first three days of our trip. The house had plenty of space for us all to be inside comfortably all day long. The games and movies helped too. When the sun did shine we took advantage of all of the property amenities. The playground, pools tennis courts and beach were all so close and well maintained. The house has everything you need for your trip. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well stocked. The beach closet was great with the wagon, chairs, umbrella, etc. I would definitely recommend Cape San Blas for a quiet beach trip and Knee Deep in Paradise for your place to stay! ##### Jami W. All the information provided from rules and regulations to restaurants and attractions was very much appreciated. Check-in/out instructions were easy and thorough. The people in this area are honest, helpful, and friendly. I love Cape San Blas. (Being older, it may have been a bit easier for my brother and sisters to have been a little closer to the beach. This was our 3rd time staying at Barrier Dunes, each time we have tried a different location for various reasons. "Knee Deep in Paradise" has taken over as the best location that we have stayed at in Cape San Blas! The condo was perfect - up to date and beautifully decorated, labels indicating where things are located (which is a nice reminder to put things back where you found them!), shelves/cabinets were well stocked in case you forgot to bring something, and the entire place was super clean. I was pleasantly surprised to see a baby/dog gate at each stairwell, dog bowl already out on the kitchen floor, and little treats for the dog as well - it's the little things that show when someone is willing to go the extra mile! Our family (and dog) had a wonderful week with lots of laughter, relaxation, and quality time spent together. We will definitely be back to "Knee Deep in Paradise" for our next trip to the Cape! Well stocked middle town house, with everything you could need and more, plenty of extras, even the dog had her own bowls! Property is clean and well maintained. We lucked out and had no neighbors whilst we were there, so it was peaceful and quiet! We came home very relaxed and chilled out. Outdoor gas grill on patio for your use, hoses for hosing off the dog and us before entering the house. House is on the edge of the St Josephs Peninsula state park at the upper limit of the Cape, right at the entrance to the park. Port St Joes has the best for grocery shopping and worth stopping off at piggly wiggly before arriving at the house. Small shop, Tradin' Post, mid cape is there for essentials! Donut shop is by the Tradin' post and is a must visit! Booked horse riding on the beach at sunset which was wonderful. All around a great experience at this property! ##### Diane F.
