One block from downtown and minutes from St. Joe Beach, this newly refreshed coastal hideaway features a full kitchen, fire pit, private courtyard seating, pet-friendly vibes, and the coziest interior. Great for a couple or individual to set up camp in a super central location and see what all PSJ has to offer. The property is set up for contactless entry. We will not be at the property in person and communication through the app is preferred. Our neighborhood is full of other charming beach cottages and offers a quaint and quiet atmosphere. The home is centrally located in the heart of Port St. Joe, within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. You will be close to lots of outdoor activities, food, and entertainment options, including walking trails, live music, dining, shopping, the Sea Turtle Museum, the historical Lighthouse, and St. Joe Bay. Guests will have access to the whole home and the small fenced-in courtyard. A smart lock code will be sent prior to arrival. There is one dedicated parking space for The Gypsy Cottage. This delightful tiny home is packed with comfort and charm. With 475 sq ft of space, it's equipped with everything you need for a memorable, convenient, and comfy stay. It features 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a pullout couch in the living area. The space sleeps up to 3 people. Whether you're cooking up a delicious dish in the full kitchen, unwinding in the snug queen bedroom, or enjoying a movie on the smart TV in the cozy living room, you’ll find this tiny house has it all. The charm of the home extends to the outdoor space with a fenced-in courtyard with seating, offering privacy and serenity. Spend your evenings by the fire pit, sharing stories under the stars, or enjoy your morning coffee while planning your beach adventures! Guests will have access to a communal laundry room with complimentary detergent, ensuring you stay fresh during your getaway. There is also a shared fire pit and seating, a handy fish-cleaning station, and an outdoor shower for your convenience. There is also an outdoor grill available for use. There is free parking onsite. As we are centrally located, guests can easily walk to many of the restaurants and stores downtown. Please note that currently Uber and Lyft are not available in our area. Gypsy Cottage is a true tiny house in the heart of Downtown Port St Joe. It's great for an individual, a couple or a couple with a small child. Please note that Gypsy Cottage has internal stairs. \*VRBO cancellations will incur credit card fees. \*Our home allows you to self-check in and have your own private space, but we do have 3 other homes on the property. \*We are pet-friendly and have plenty of space to accommodate 2 pets. Our pet fee is $175\. Please include them on your booking and the pet fee will automatically be added to the booking. If it doesn't automatically add it then it will be added after the booking as a request for fee payment. \*Please make sure to read and understand our house rules before booking! Recommendations to check out: \- Downtown is walkable and you will find shops, restaurants, live music, and more! \- St. Joe Bay is 2 mins away. \- St. Joe Beach is 7 mins away. \- Mexico Beach and Cape San Blas are less than 15 mins away. \- St. Joseph Peninsula State Park for access to the beach and the bay. It offers natural hiking trails, miles of untouched beaches, and access to launch kayaks or paddle boards. \- Salinas Park is a 15 mins drive away, where you can have the amazing experience of horseback riding on the beach \- If you are interested in wildlife and natural beauty, plan a trip over to St. Vincent Island by ferry boat for the day. Hike around the island and explore our native wildlife and foliage. \- About 30 miles away is the historical fishing community of Apalachicola. It's perfect for a day trip to do a little shopping, stroll along the Apalachicola River, or grab some of the best seafood around! It was in the perfect location, about two to three blocks to “downtown” and another block to the water. A paved walking & biking path is nearby which we enjoyed, daily. So many fine details considered for travelers from a dog basket with blankets, bones, extra leash, etc. the kitchen and bath had everything we needed. Walton Beach to the delightful Gypsy Cottage in the heart of Port St. Joe, and it was our best experience yet. Unlike other rentals we've tried in Cape San Blas and PSJ, this charming tiny house truly felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect—close enough to bike to the local Piggly Wiggly and coffee shop, yet nestled in a peaceful neighborhood that offered a serene escape. The owners' attention to detail made this rental stand out. The provided toiletries, plush towels, and comfy bed & pillows ensured a cozy stay. The well-equipped kitchen, complete with spices, oil & cookware, allowed us to enjoy home-cooked meals, which we savored while relaxing on the outdoor swing and chairs. Another standout was the responsiveness of the property owners when we accidentally got locked out, despite the warning not to lock the doorknob from the inside. This was a refreshing contrast to a previous experience with a property management company where our request to change a reservation was met with unyielding inflexibility, despite notifying them within 30 min. of the mistake. The owners also reached out with information about local events, adding a personal touch, unlike one who ignored our requests for local info. The care and attention to detail made this rental exceptionally welcoming and convenient. Highly recommended to anyone seeking a cozy and well-situated retreat in Port St. Joe! ##### Olivia S. Each evening before bed, we would snuggle out son on the couch and watch Disney plus that we connected our account to on the smart tv. We would wake each morning and enjoy the comfortable seating outside and get ready for our day. When I accidentally locked the main door, I was able to text for guidance and get help right away! I hope that we can stay at this cottage again!! I highly recommend the gypsy cottage for anyone wanting to visit Port St. Joe and enjoy the simple things of life during their stay!! ##### Caitlyn M. Communication with the property manager was seamless. We were welcomed on our first day with a basket of snacks, waters, coffee, etc. They even left us Red, White and Blue beach towels for us to use for our 4th of July weekend beach days. They also left pet items and a jar of dog treats. Our pets felt very welcomed too. The house was charming and we loved that the old character was left in the house even though it has been updated. The old sink in the kitchen is a gem and we loved the feel that it gave. The tv was Roku and we liked being able to watch our YouTube channels. There was a keurig coffee make but we had brought our Chemex and made our coffee that way. Everything was clean and had an updated feel. The colors were calm and relaxing. Lots of greens and blues on the inside. The house is close to downtown Port St Joe and it was nice to be able to get out and walk our dogs. We had our pictures made on Sunday evening on the beach near Cape San Blas with Stephen Teekell. We highly recommend him and his wife. They were wonderful to work with. Again, we really enjoyed our trip and we ate at several nice restaurants as well as cooked yummy meals at the house. Great getaway for sure!! ##### Rachel C. It was nice and quiet not too much going on in neighborhood but close enough to get downtown and go shopping, get something to eat or hop on 98 or 30A to explore all the other beach towns. The swing outside was great to hang out on and watch the stars at night or just relax at the end of a busy day. We hope to come back soon. ##### Shawn W. The Gypsy Cottage was a terrific location just a few blocks from Reid Avenue and a few blocks from there to the lighthouse. We usually walked to dinner and shopping but rode our bicycles around town also. We enjoyed day trips to Mexico Beach, Appalachicola, Cape San Blass, and St. Joseph Memorial park. We rented a boat 1 day and spent the morning on on Saint Joseph Bay. The price was great and I think the place was probably about as good as houses twice and 3 times the cost.
