We were attending my nephews graduation from Parris Island on Nov. 2 we stayed here and were glad we did! The location was perfect. Only 9 minutes from the base. We never left Port Royal during our stay. Lots of dining options. Madisons and the Fish camp were great. The shell ring brewerie was great, good beer. The home was clean, beds were comfortable, walked to most locations. They have five bikes. Highly recommend! MOLD, FILTHY, AND THE WORST MANAGEMENT!! Avoid this property! It is not safe and the management is not willing to do anything about it. Upon arrival, we noticed how filthy things were, then started looking closely and and saw MOLD at all of the air vents, in the coffee pot filter area, and pieces of the water damaged ceiling hanging down over the dining table. It was disgusting. There is no way someone could stay there safely. If I could post photos on here, I would. No one should subject themselves to the filth and potential sickness, not to mention the nastiness of the woman in contact. I immediately reached out to the property manager, Kristi. Note, she is not the owner. Her response was appalling. See the full conversation below: Me: Hi Kristi! We have arrived for check-in, but are finding things here are not as expected. The space is fine the furniture a bit cheap but okay, but the cleanliness is lacking. Just to name a few things, there is mold in the coffee pot, food/filth in the ice cube tray, and hair on the sponge at the sink. Also, the umbrella outside is broken. We haven't even stayed a night and are already feeling grossed out. I have begun washing things up, but then stopped myself as I'm on vacation and shouldn't be! We won't be able to stay here and will need our reservation canceled and fully refunded. Kristi: Hello, I personally cleaned the property today and can promise you that our is clean! We attended her boyfriend’s graduation from the Marines. It was super easy to get in and settled. Not far from Paris Island and only about 10-15 minutes from grocery shopping. There are some great places to eat. The inside has just enough space, and the kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook or eat with. The property manager was easy to get in touch with and very helpful. I was a little disappointed that the outside wasn’t a bit cleaner. There were some days I would have liked to sit out back, but the cushions were a tad dirty and covered in leaves. I also think the floors and baseboards could do with a deep clean. The queen bed was very comfortable. Nice, walkable neighborhood. Good location for easy access to the rest of the region. Kristi quickly responded to any issues that arose. It's a great place for a few days or a week. However, we were there for five weeks and found some amenities missing: The living room is dark; there was no reading/task lamp. The kitchen is short on storage; not a sharp knife anywhere. While we expected to clean, there were no cleaning supplies. No toilet brush in downstairs bathroom. No grab bars or mat in the shower.
