Booked the last room available a day before our arrival. The host was gracious. Showed us a very tiny room with a straight back chair, an armoire, a full size bed & a twin. THe room was impeccably clean. However the beds were aged & sagging. Not having room or comfort in our room,we sought the common room hoping to watch t.v. & get the weather. No other guests were there. We planned our itinerary for the next day & watched t.v. With captions @ low volume. At 10:00 p.m. The owner locked the front door & turned off the outside lights saying " I have turned off the lights " not knowing this was code for " go to bed " I asked if there was something she wanted us to do ? She then said no one was to remain downstairs. Feeling like an errant child, we made our way to our room. Keep in mind, there was no television or comfy chair or comfortable bed. Certainly a first for us. Our three week tour of The Maritimes was amazing this was the only wrinkle in a perfect vacation. P.S. Hotel guests should be aware that cash is the only means of payment acceptable.
The morning breakfast was outstanding .
