It has 3 bedrooms, each with a Queen bed, and a fully finished daylight basement for use as a game / media room. The main level features a contemporary open floor plan, warm and cozy living room, spacious 8-person dining table and a fully-stocked chef’s kitchen - ALL with unrivaled views (see reviews) of the Straight of Juan de Fuca and the Canadian city of Victoria across the water. The 3 bedrooms upstairs are luxuriously appointed with new memory foam mattresses and the spa-like master bathroom will allow you to unplug and rest well after a long day of sight seeing on the Olympic Peninsula. The fully finished basement also features a wonderfully secluded media room with huge selection of DVDs and books for your enjoyment (for various ages). This space is perfect for kids. Everyone will love the game room with an air hockey table, mini-fridge and bistro table for cards or one of the many board games provided. The back of the house features a walk-around and covered portch, a gas BBQ and several benches to relax and soak in the sights of ships passing by and the multitude of deer lounging in the yard. The spacious yard includes a large picnic table, corn hole game and a wonderful wood-burning fire pit with rustic “tree-stump” seats to complete the outdoor ambiance. It was very quiet and we had plenty of Bambi visitors and cruise ships in the strait to entertain us. The location was good--a midpoint between the sights we wanted to see.One problem was the stairs are steep and the only showers are upstairs so buyer beware if you are sleeping in the basement. Some informational guides would have been helpful on the new appliances especially the oven. The only problem we had was with the glass shower backing up--took the drain cover off and filled with hair from previous visitors--not a thing cleaners would ordinarily check but now are advised to. We were a party of eight adults age 65-plus, so the two bathrooms were a bit difficult to schedule. Another issue we had were the two flights of stairs to maneuver between the main floor and the other two (this home is a three-level). This home backs up to the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and we spent much time watching ships and barges pass back and forth. Be sure to carry your binoculars! This was our favorite part of this home. The kitchen was fairly well-stocked, however I was glad we had brought our own Saran Wrap, foil, and baggies. Plenty of room to sit and visit or play board games/cards. Parking for our two large vehicles had plenty of room. The beds/mattresses were comfortable enough (and we're a fairly picky group).Clean-up instructions were not over-the-top like some places; very reasonable. The house was beautifully decorated, VERY clean and was fully stocked with everything you would need from your “home away from home”. We absolutely LOVED the attention to detail with all the labels around the house which helped tremendously in locating items (especially in the kitchen area) and turning on/off correct light switches! The basement game room was fantastic for the kids to hang out and they loved having a variety of games from which to choose. Overall, this is a fantastic family friendly property! The neighborhood deer are fun to watch and we were lucky enough to even see an Eagle while sitting on the back porch while enjoying our morning coffee! I feel so lucky and grateful to have found this place. Every detail has been thought of by Danny. My family and I stayed here for 3 nights. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs (master, and 2 guest rooms) each with a queen bed. The guest rooms share a bathroom with the master having its own. BONUS - the master and one of the guest rooms have views of the water! That’s a big deal when deciding who gets which room. The beds were very comfortable. Open floor plan in the living/kitchen area, with a large dining table that seats 8, plus seats at the kitchen counter. A game room and bedroom in the basement (perfect for younger kids). We enjoyed drinking coffee in the morning while watching the deer in the backyard, and the ships go by. Great location between Port Angeles and Sequim. The view is amazing and the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. It was a great vacation and the house was perfect to come back to after hiking in Olympic National Park. ##### Kristin F. We had some concerns about cleanliness but the host very quickly addressed those concerns. He also allowed us early check-in since one of our party was sick and we were already in the area. The house is newly renovated, in an unbelievable location (we all talked about staying on the deck overlooking the water versus exploring Olympic) and has everything you need.
