Before heading out to explore, take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen and whip up a tasty breakfast for the whole gang. There will be no delay in taking a dip or launching kayaks, as a shared dock awaits just 450 feet away. When you return each evening, the private gas grill will assist in family cookouts as the sun goes down. If a quiet getaway is what you are after, this is just the place to get away from it all while still being close to outdoor recreation! When days heat up, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, and swimming in Lake Sutherland or Lake Crescent both mere minutes from your front door. If a hike is on the agenda, head over to Marymere Falls Trail nine miles from home base and catch a unique glimpse of the area. Not to mention, heading into the heart of Port Angeles is always a great idea when everyone wants a bite to eat or a shopping day at local shops just 15 miles north. THINGS TO KNOW This vacation rental is not equipped with air-conditioning. Guests don't have access to the woodstove. The ladder going up to the loft is brand new and has a 200 lb weight limit. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Dock details: The HOA shared dock is located across the road, Rustic Lane, just 450 feet from the home. Please see the Sutherland Lake Access map posted in the home for details. Please be respectful of the neighbors lawns and follow the path that is marked on the map. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. We won’t be back again.We arrived at 3:30, which was a little early for our 4 pm check in, but cleaning had not started. We called management and a cleaning person came fairly quickly- she was nice and did a good job. I hope this review won’t get her in trouble. We got into the cabin by about 4:45\. Management said they would give me a partial refund since the cabin wasn’t available at check in, but so far they have not even given me an ETA for when we can expect that, though I asked.The late check in wouldn’t have been a big deal on its own, but there is a general lack of care about the upkeep of this cabin. Window blinds that were broken last year, and which we reported, are still broken. The bedside table lamp doesn’t work. You can only use 1 appliance (toaster oven, tea kettle, microwave) at a time without blowing a fuse. I really do understand normal wear and tear - I’ve stayed in vacation homes all over the world and I don’t think I’ve ever left a negative review. But looking back at previous reviews for this cabin, it seems like management apologizes but rarely addresses the issues guest bring up.This place is expensive, and you can do better for the money. ##### Hayden B. There was mold in the bathroom and rat poop in the dresser drawer on the spare towels. The wood burning stove is not for guests and the outdoor fire pit is in poor and unusable condition. There is no cable or streaming tv, just a dvd player with a few dvds and the kayaks were filthy and just thrown under the deck. The management company isnt even aware of the amenities on the property because directions say to start a load of laundry before leaving but there is no washer and dryer. This place is worth half of what we paid at best, the cleaning fee was over 100 but it didnt seem like they did much cleaning before we got there. ##### Nathan O. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare coffee and a few simple meals. Views of the lake are spectacular and proximity to ONP can't be beat. Enjoyed watching stars at night from the deck. Cozy and simple. The place could use a few dollars thrown at it in terms of kitchen supplies, upgrades on the towels, and the bed creaks comically loud. But overall it was a great base for our visit to the national park. ##### bob j. Bed was so squeaky we couldn't turn over in the night without waking up constantly. Property management reached out to me when I got there asking if it was clean and why I said no, they said they could send someone out to clean it but I felt like that would have been a big inconvenience for us. Ultimately, just kind of disappointed considering it was also expensive, I would have expected a better experience without having to go out of my way to let a cleaner interrupt our stay. ##### Elena U. The water pressure is lacking and it’s not overly clean, windows have cobwebs in them and the gutter needs cleaned badly. The loft is a bit of a climb to get up to. It’s nice having the kitchen and full size fridge. Would be nice if you could use the wood stove, it has a large sign that states “ Do Not Use” this was not in the description pictures. Overall happy with the stay, the views of lake are definitely nice, very peaceful location. ##### Brad D.
