This was our second time to the area.
the villa is traditional, clean and in a lovely quiet location.
we had great communication with the owners prior to our holiday.
I explained that my daughter is a wheelchair user, that she uses her chair full time. we were assured the villa was suitable.
sadly, it was not suitable. we arrived late at night to find the first hurdle was the step into the villa which measures 16cm. no ramp.
I emailed the owner to ask for help, got a quick reply to state someone would be there in a couple of days.
owner arrived two days later with a piece of wood that did not fit the step. he left without helping us.
we followed up the email and was assured a ramp was on its way.
we waited for another five days for a ramp to arrive !!
during this time we had to lift our daughter and her wheelchair in and out of the villa. not easy.
in addition the garden and pool area is also not accessible, no ramp access, only various height steps. which we were not warned about.
it made for a very difficult holiday, more lifting work than we expected. it was very disappointing.
the positive was the accessible bathroom, very good, easy access.
this villa should not be advertised as accessible, it simply is not.
when i emailed the owner, they replied they had other disabled guests with no problem. I did ask if the guests were full time wheelchair users, but not no reply.
It is a shame, as the villa is in a great location and could easily be adapted with the addition of a a few short ramps.
I have been booking our holidays for many years and I do my research very carefully, but on this occasion I was let down.
