Have stayed at this hotel many times on route to and from Spain. Very friendly service, great hotel to bring our dog who is always made extremely welcome and great safe grounds. Dining and bar very good and always reasonably priced.

Staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The room interior was a little battered and the bed was very hard but otherwise fine. It’s a beautiful building in beautiful grounds. The pool was also nice but opens late and closes early.

Hmmm?! .. I was very disappointed when we arrived when told both the bar and restaurant were closed ( it was a Sunday eve!) We had been driving for 10 hours! And completely drained and ravenous! We were recommended a quiet bistro down the road though and it was very nice Hotel is a bit dated but the room was much nicer than some of the other reviews suggested. We didn’t have breakfast so I can’t review the quality This was a one night stopover

Nice, spacious suite. The only problem is the building where we stayed had no elevator. We had a elderly lady in our party who had great difficulty climbing two floors.

Please to discover an amazing place!
Discovered the place for a stay during my stop over while crossing the France. Very well looked after with plenty of activities available. Room with view on the big tree at the reception. Highly recommended!

A cynical, overpriced con of a place.
A complete con. The hotel's pictures show an attractive chateau; the actual accommodation is a concrete slab structure a 100m walk away down a rain-soaked path. Cold, no lifts. Restaurant closed due to Covid; the replacement is a meal on a tray that you carry, through the rain, to your room. Main course is a disgusting lamb-gristle and beans stew (no other choice). What a waste of money. The place is a cynical, overpriced con.

Relaxed atmosphere but very efficient. Excellent food and chef developed a good menu. Good grounds and very dog friendly. Could take a softer mattress on the bed!

Great Stopover Location
Great small hotel on the golf course. Good place to chill out after 400 miles on the motorway. The food was excellent and it was a great alternative to staying in one of the branded hotels, shame I didn’t get the time to play the golf course. I have booked again for our return journey.

Cosy rooms, food was delicious. Picturesque spot, even saw wildlife from our dinner table. Staff were friendly and welcoming, we would definitely stay here again.

Not Great... Kitchenette was of very poor standard. Very shabby. No microwave.. They knew that I had a child with dietary needs and food had to be re heated... Even though there were 3 of us.. It was only kitted out for 2. One pot.. A frying pan.. ..As it was of substandard condition, we should have been charged accordingly Now for the good points.... Beds were comfortable.. Bathroom very clean.

Beautiful hotel, great food and pool.
Stayed in this hotel for one night en route through France with a 2yr old and 4mth old. Had a big family room with lots of space, pool was great, grounds were beautiful and dinner was delicious. Only down side was that the air con wasn't the strongest so our big room was rather warm but otherwise a great hotel.

Business trip, great hotel with a nice staff and decent restaurant on site. Popular with golfers as is on golf course. Nice place, will stay there every time I'm in Poitiers

Nice Hotel in France
We arrived at the hotel late after a very long drive, the receptionist was not very welcoming and actually looked and sounded quite miserable. The room was very clean and comfortable although the shower was very low and slightly awkward to use. The location was good for our needs as we had a car and were visiting friends near by. The price of the beer was extremely high and there was no outdoor seating unless dining, this was disappointing as we had to sit with the diners which was quite uncomfortable. The staff made us feel that we were not welcome and that it was strange that we should want to have a drink and sit outside. We did not have the opportunity to eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. On one occasion we were waiting for friends to meet us and there was no where to sit outside of the hotel. The young lady who cleaned the rooms was the only member of staff that was polite and greeted us with a smile.

Excellent travel stop over
Great clean hotel with excellent staff and a lovely little pool, set in very nice grounds (golf club). Good food, just as well as it's the only option due to rural location.
