Had a wonderful stay at this little gem. Beautiful self catering apartments with views over the Tuscan hills to San Gimignano. Very clean and inviting pool. Karen was very helpful because I didn’t have a car so she took me to the bus stop numerous times as there are no shops or restaurants near by. Very relaxing calm place to visit.

Dejligt sted i skønne omgivelser

Vi havde en Deluxe Villa med 1 soveværelse, lille køkken og garden view til 4 personer. Vi havde nok plads til 4 personer og indretningen var autentisk, men sengene var hårde og korte og ikke alle lige gode. Stedet lå dog i rolige og helt vidunderligt i naturskønne omgivelser med vinmarker og olivenlunde. Poolen var dejlig stor og med en fantastisk udsigt. Desværre blev vores morgenmad aflyst hele ugen, så den fik vi ikke prøvet, men generelt oplevede vi en super service fra Karen. Vi kan varmt anbefale dette sted til en dejlig familieferie

Let’s start with the good: lots of communication and the lady was very kind and helpful. Beautiful views and peaceful. It was nice to look out and see green EVERYWHERE!! The perfect place to relax. The pool is so refreshing and clean. Our kids didn’t leave it. Ok. We didn’t either lol. Grapevine lined pergolas. I mean, OMG! How cute! Now, for some things to work on that round make this place better: I understand a lot of places around Italy don’t do air conditioning, so we had to keep the windows open because the apartments absorb heat with their walls. That resulted in bugs (a couple of bees, spiders, centipedes, etc.) in the house...and a bird. Screens on the windows would do wonders here!! A vending machine would also be amazing here. Just something with water, juice, water, soft drinks, water, snacks, and did I mention water? While directions do say to stop at a supermarket, when you have to go back out to a supermarket for water, you go down windy dirt roads for 10-15 minutes before you get to one. And something to remember: this place is an apartment. You will not find shampoo or body wash in the shower, nor a little bit of olive oil and salt & pepper that you find in most places with a kitchen in Italy. A few upgrades to this property would make it a fantastic place to stay! I wish them the best of luck.

Fantastisk sted!

Vi er en familie på fem, som havde nogle fantastiske dage på Podere il Pino. Det er et meget charmerende sted med ro og skønne, vedligeholdte omgivelser. Receptionisten Karen og hotellets "alt mulig mand", Franco er meget imødekommende og hjælpsomme. Det tager lidt tid at komme til byen og fx handle ind, og man skal køre af en snørklet vej op til hotellet - men hvis man sætter pris på fred og ro, er det et perfekt sted at trække stikket i nogle dage. Tusind tak for et dejligt ophold!

Off the beaten track and none the worse for that

A stunning complex with beautiful views across the Tuscan countryside to San Gimignano, the villa we had, number 11 was spacious and well equipped and never felt cramped even with four of us inside. Florence, Sienna and the aforementioned San Gimignano are all in easy reach along with hundreds of vineyards and plenty of other things to do. The only downsides for me were a lengthy gravel road to get up to the villa which would be no fun if you are a nervous driver, the fact that the gorgeous pool was not heated (no problem in summer no doubt) and the fact that the showers in our villa were not entirely reliable. Other than that it was an ideal place for an Easter break and would definitely be a stunning summer location.

This vacation home is a little bit off the beaten path, but is a great base for exploring Tuscany. The pool is very nice (although we did not get to use it because it was too cold). As long as you do not mind driving a few kms on a gravel/dirt road this is a great place to stay.
