« My husband and I along with 2 siblings and good friend spent 2 lovely nights here for our grandsons graduation. The house has been beautifully remodeled so the kitchen and 2 upstairs BR are large and bright. The kitchen is well stocked with Keurig and drip coffee pots and coffee and tons of staples (spices, pancake mix, syrup). The owners live in town and are very gracious hosts. Highly recommend! »

« Girls met here for long weekend. This is an older home updated. We didn’t do any cooking basically just slept there. Kitchen appears well stocked. It’s winter in Iowa, so parking of vehicles is required to be in the alley. Plenty of room for our vehicles Owner great to work with; very quick to respond to questions. We will definitely book again!! »

« Short 2 day getaway to unwind was much needed. Jerry and Janine were super nice hosts with clean and comfortable accommodations. They offered us a boat ride around the lake, but unfortunately there were very high winds all weekend so we were unable to. They also offered fishing poles and bicycles to use as well as recommending some good restaurants to try. Highly recommended. »

« My husband, dogs and I had a great stay at Travis' place. He was communicative and instructions were clear. The house was perfect for our needs, clean and comfortable. Our stay was only about 15 hours or so and longer stays may require bringing more items from home, but we were very happy with our stay. Thank you! »

« We really loved the home. It is very well maintained. Even though it holds much old charm, the kitchen and baths were updated to meet the needs of today. An adequate amount of misc. spices and kitchen supplies was a plus. There were plenty dishes, pans, etc. to cook any meal we wanted. The guys spent every evening in the family room playing cards and the younger boys enjoyed the access to the games.We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and he was very diligent with any concerns. ...

« We often stay at Vrbo's when we travel. We were very happy with our stay at the Bluebird House. The historic nature of the house was something my SIL and I really liked. And the house was completely updated and had everything a traveler could need was provided. Any questions we had were promptly answered by Margaret and Joe. Overall, our stay was great! »

« We loved your home! It was perfect for our crew while baling corn stalks. It was very nice and quiet neighborhood and close to town! The home was not as clean as we expected property is listed as pet free but we found dog hair very much in the main area and master bedroom. We did a lot of cleaning. Beautiful veiws of sunrises over the water. We would definitely stay again! Thanks for letting us use your home! »

« I've traveled to Algona before and stayed in the hotels, which were nice, but this stay was my favorite so far. The home is close to everything in town. It has a very charming feel and very comfortable to hang out with family. The host is very proactive and helpful with anything you need. The house is well stocked. The bed was extremely comfortable.
