If we return to Playa, we will certainly stay there again. The staff is extremely nice and willing to assist you in any way. The breakfast was a great and unexpected meal with excellent fresh fruit. We loved the fact that it was so close to the 5th Av and near the beach. The street vendors were somewhat aggressive but, that of course, has nothing to do with the hotel!! I would always ask for a Junior Suite or the Master Suite. A lot bigger and really worthy it.
Every little detail was thought of, so all you have to do is show up and enjoy! The beaches in Playa are incredible, but we spent just as much time enjoying the 3 pools and hot tubs at the hotel. Everyday we were greeted with warm, friendly and helpful front desk staff. There is always a supply of delicious pastries and cakes, and wine in the evenings. We happily and safely walked to and from 5th avenue with ease and enjoyed the location particularly because of it's access to the ADO bus station, and many truly great cafes. Adoni gave us excellent recommendations and saved us the headache of figuring out how to take the bus to Tulum. We would stay here again and again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a relaxation vacation in the hustle of Playa.
Stunning location. Huge rooms. Excellent food. But what makes this resort really special is the extensive staff who are always eager to make sure that you are enjoying yourself. Every employee is smiling all the time and they always tried to greet us by name and to remember what we liked.
Meet friends at the resort that had already been there for a week. The front desk staff knew who we were upon arrival, to the point saying they were just here asking if you had checked in yet and upgraded us and our friends to a 1bd rm suite closer together. The food was very good at all the resturants we ate at, only had 1 problem at the Italian resturant, mosquitoes. Pool staff was outstanding as well!!
The Room was clean, However, the bed was a bit hard. The Staff was Friendly and excellent service. The location was for me excellent. I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it to other. The raste was good.
Still small enough to explore on foot, Playa del Carmen has a relaxed, yet cosmopolitan feel, with a variety of hotels, shops, and restaurants ranging from causal to upscale. European-style sunbathing is common on beaches. Playa is a popular jumping-off point for day trips to Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Tulum, and other peninsula attractions, and a passenger ferry makes frequent runs to Cozumel.
