The hotel is very close to the popular playa Mamitas and many wonderful restaurants, also just a block form 5th Avenue, where everything is.
The only issues were the construction noise so early in the morning (and I know that's not on the hotel) and a gross bunch of hair that came up the drain in the tub.
The rooftop pool is fantastic but the drinks from the bar are just ok.
This all inclusive resort is top notch! From the service to the food. It was outstanding. Although, not any fault of the resort, the beach was disappointing due to the seaweed. Had that not been there this place would've exceeded all expectations! We can't wait to come back and see this beautiful piece of paradise without the seaweed. Until next time....
Our honeymoon experience was amazing. The pictures are beautiful of the resort and villa's but in person will take your breathe away! The staff treats you wonderfully and the food is to die for! Money well spent! The beach is clean and has comfort chairs and cover from the sun. Villa's are wonderful with beautiful bathrooms and a awesome pool! We didn't feel the need to leave the resort! Would love to try other locations and visit this location again as well! Couldn't ask for a better vacation!!!
"Conveniently located to the main pedestrian street"
We wanted to stay somewhere between Tulum and cancun airport and it fit our needs. Check in was easy. Leonardo was very nice. The room was nice and cool. My daughter loved the hammock on the veranda. They served us our complimentary breakfasts earlier than they open and it was an easy drive to the airport.
"Very well situated between 5th ave and the beach"
I really wanted to give this hotel a 5 but had a an electrical outage our first night and the front desk person in charge of the night shift was not very helpful at all. We were given a different room the next day and no problems after that. Awesome location, next to 5th avenue and very short walk to the beach. Well worth the price. I would very much recommend this hotel to anyone and plan to return very soon.
Still small enough to explore on foot, Playa del Carmen has a relaxed, yet cosmopolitan feel, with a variety of hotels, shops, and restaurants ranging from causal to upscale. European-style sunbathing is common on beaches. Playa is a popular jumping-off point for day trips to Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Tulum, and other peninsula attractions, and a passenger ferry makes frequent runs to Cozumel.
