"A tranquil place where the service is impeccable"
A beautiful place to relax and just unwind. Its very quiet, you don't see hardly any other guests.
If you want to chat with other guests or want to perform karaoke or be entertained by dave the juggler whilst eating 'authentic' pasta then go to a resort full of kids down the road;)
Seriously, the mayakoba is a place where you ask for ice and it arrives within ten minutes then the next night you don't need to ask as it is already there for you. you get my drift.....
We dined in, dined out.
With these resorts unless you have a car you are a captive, we hired a car to explore. its really recommended.
The hire car is cheaper than an airport transfer go figure.
Always make sure you get at least a breakfast deal included as its 50 bucks a head if you don't.
Depending when you go its worth getting a villa with hot tub and heated pool. trust me, it makes the difference. So when you first arrive tell them to max the pool temp so when it rains you jump in that sucker and chill out.
The whole place from the night turn downs to the choice of pillows before you arrive shouts comfort and it doesn't disappoint.
Its simple, 5 days here or 3 weeks in a Thompson 'five' star, give me this anyday
Oh, last thing, the wife is a celiac, lactose allergiac & veggy. These guys went out of their way to help plus the waiters knew what it meant
This hotel is somewhat secluded between two holes on the Hard Rock golf course. Very quiet, small but ample breakfast, pool, and I had a large 1 bedroom suite with two balconies, microwave, kitchen,
sofa's and T.V's in living room and bedroom. It was very quiet as room is separated from other rooms by hallways.
We stayed at the vista caribe for 8 nights and it was great. The location was fantastic with steps to the beach and to 5th Avenue. The restaurant where we ate breakfast every morning was fantastic and the staff made us feel welcome.
My first impression when I arrived at The Hotel's room was a little be disappointed, because I expected to have better room. But then, it was perfect for our vacation, the breakfast was delicious and has a lot of variety every day, the staff was so nice, friendly and helped us to find tourist guides for our vacation. The internet connection isn't good because it only works at the lobby. We never had signal at our room. The room always was very clean. For me it is a hotel to sleep, enjoy the breakfast and get out to enjoyed Playa del Carmen city and Cozumel. We spent all day visit tourist places and return to the hotel at night. I really recommend to the hotel renovate the rooms and provide a real internet connection in all the hotel facilities. I really will return to stay in this hotel. I recommend it
Nice hotel, good location(close to downtown and the beach) , really nice staff, great swimming pool . The only thing we did not like was poor wifi connection and shower was not really working. We really enjoyed staying here and would definitely come back.
From the day we got there it was the best experience my husband & I had. The food and drinks were great. The staff was very friendly anything you needed they were there to assist you. The pool was nice & the beach was amazing. I would recommend sandos caracol to my friends & family. We can't wait to take our kids with us next time.
Still small enough to explore on foot, Playa del Carmen has a relaxed, yet cosmopolitan feel, with a variety of hotels, shops, and restaurants ranging from causal to upscale. European-style sunbathing is common on beaches. Playa is a popular jumping-off point for day trips to Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Tulum, and other peninsula attractions, and a passenger ferry makes frequent runs to Cozumel.
