Pros : Polite and helpful staff, clean facilities, Jacuzzi on the top floor is awesome, next to Wal-Mart, nice breakfast, Walking distance to the market in Playa
Cons : walk to the beach, small showers
I can not say enough positive things about this hotel! Before we arrived Sandra helped us coordinate our transportation from the airport. Our flight was delayed and we arrived much later than expected. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest staff. We were tired from traveling all day and they made the check in process smooth and fast. We were promptly escorted to our spacious and clean room. The hotel is in the middle of Playa del Carmen and is convenient to the beach, shops, and great restaurants. The pool was our favorite part! Great atmosphere and made you feel like you were in a tropical paradise. We had a great time staying at The Palm en Playa. Thank You Sandra, Fernanda, Geni, Joselyn, Jorge, and Francisco. We will definitely be back for another visit!
The Room was clean, However, the bed was a bit hard. The Staff was Friendly and excellent service. The location was for me excellent. I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it to other. The raste was good.
This is my second stay at The Hacienda and I would never consider staying anywhere else. I have already looked at dates for next year and will be booking with them soon.
I always had things done for me even before I knew I needed them. The daily desk clerk Patricia was the best. I always felt like a special guest there and not just another tourist passing through. I have only been home 1 day and I already miss the staff that I had contact with.
The room was more than we expected. Large king bed, nice patio and the extra private spa patio, a real plus.
The help and manager were exceptional.
The food was yummy and the restaurant clean and efficient.
Would definitely stay here again.
The hotel lobby smelled strange when you walk in and the hotel staff was terrible. We got in a hour before check in time and tge front desk asked if we wanted to pay $50 to check in early. Who charges to check in early when we booked 2 of the 3 bedroom villas?
They also nickel and dime every chance they get. Beware if you lose your room key card it's a $35 charge which luckily we read the letter they put in our room.
The location is great and everything is within walking distance from the bars and restaurants.
Meet friends at the resort that had already been there for a week. The front desk staff knew who we were upon arrival, to the point saying they were just here asking if you had checked in yet and upgraded us and our friends to a 1bd rm suite closer together. The food was very good at all the resturants we ate at, only had 1 problem at the Italian resturant, mosquitoes. Pool staff was outstanding as well!!
Still small enough to explore on foot, Playa del Carmen has a relaxed, yet cosmopolitan feel, with a variety of hotels, shops, and restaurants ranging from causal to upscale. European-style sunbathing is common on beaches. Playa is a popular jumping-off point for day trips to Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Tulum, and other peninsula attractions, and a passenger ferry makes frequent runs to Cozumel.
