Le site est très beau avec de la végétation partout. Il y a toujours de la place à la piscine (select club) et à la plage. Cette plage est grande et très belle. Le personnel est généralement très attentionné et efficace (en particulier Luis Huante et Nicole). La nourriture est bonne, mais trop salée et le vin est acceptable, comme les cocktails. Les bars premium sont trop éclairés et le son des téléviseurs trop fort. Le restaurant réservé au club select pour déjeuner manque parfois de produits, particulièrement avant 7h30. Toutefois, les places accessibles pour le select club à la plage étaient constamment modifiées. Un jour, nous avions accès au site central comprenant des lits et le lendemain un garde de sécurité nous en expulsait. Les contrôles de température de la chambre et de l'eau de la douche étaient déficientes. There are several pools to use. We opted in for the adult’s side and that had the smallest and worst pool. No swim up bar and no one walking around offering drinks. If you were a member there was a small separate pool and staff was catering to them. There were food options around the pool areas but it was an open air buffet so the food was open to all the elements and bugs and what not floating around, not even covered.The rooms were old and we had zero water pressure in the shower, I mean it was a literal trickle. Food was not mediocre. We stayed at the Sandos in Cabo and it was a completely different experience. Regarding the Select Club Adults Only area, it is indeed an area designed to offer tranquility and privacy, with intentionally smaller spaces, removed from the family atmosphere. This section has its own snack bar and open bar, and although there is no bar directly inside the pool, service is available just a few steps away. Likewise, our main pool bars are located in the central area of ​​the hotel and are open to all our guests, regardless of the reserved section. Regarding food presentation, the outdoor buffets comply with established hygiene guidelines, including constant supervision by kitchen and housekeeping staff. Some of these areas are partially screened, but being in open and ventilated spaces, there may be greater contact with the natural environment. We have taken note of your suggestion to continue strengthening these aspects. Regarding the water pressure in the room, these types of occasional incidents may be due to temporary fluctuations in the hydraulic system. Our maintenance team is available 24/7 to address any in-room issues by dialing extension "0." If we didn't receive a notification during your stay, we didn't have the opportunity to resolve the issue in a timely manner. We regret that your experience was different from that of another Sandos resort. The a la carte restaurants should either have adult only times or ones for adults only. When you book adults you should get it. The smell/perfume In the resort lobby needs to be toned way down. You get a headache as soon as you walk in. The check in checkout was difficult. Lined up for checkout because we were in a transport time frame only to be told that they were checking people in ( nobody available to check out) the spa people walking around were too aggressive. Counted in one day I got asked ten different times if I wanted a massage. When we arrived on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, the staff neglected to tell us that the Grand Buffet was closed. We found out the next day that it was due to at least 50 people who got sick from Canada there for a wedding. You can look this up in the Playa del Carmen News. We were as well as everyone else, without water in our shower, sink, and toilet for the whole weekend and no communication from staff as to why. The Grand Buffet did not reopen until Tuesday evening but we were afraid to eat there so went off the property to eat. Our mini fridge was never restocked and this was after 6-7 phone calls a day to guest services. The elevator in our building was out of order. The service outside was terrible . We sat by the pool for 5 hours one day and the waitress came to take our order once. They were not telling new people registering that the water was not working and the Grand Buffet was closed. We have tried to get a partial refund but have had no luck. Buffet was closed for most of the trip because of multiple people getting sick eating there. Had no running water for over 48 hours in two separate buildings of rooms. Toilets were over flowing because you couldn’t flush them, no showers, no brushing your teeth. But when staff was asked about it, you couldn’t get any type of answer as to when the problem would be fixed. No waiters by the pool & long lines everywhere. We have been to multiple resorts and never had a bad Experience until now, although this one was a nightmare other than the beach and the staff which were amazing from day to day! Disappointed that top shelf alcohol is not top shelf! They don't provide bottled water. Family pool washroom had no toilet seat in men’s wash room. We had to walk about10 min to reserve a volley ball for pool and could omly have it for one hour. Reservations for several restaurants were not available. Food was a hit or a miss! The hotel store is very high priced and you can walk out the resort to a market for the same items. Evening shows targeted at children don't start until 9:00 pm. Not much pool side entertainment. Many resorts offer dance lessons, language lessons etc. not Sandos! The beach bbq was a hit and family section pool had better service than the adult only. the adult only pool only had one bartender and every drink you were waiting in line. The spa now charges for hydro therapy pool which is just a sauna and jetted water. The rooms are outdated and a/c barely works. Staff are great. Wildlife all over. Great coffee bar and taco shop. Lush grounds. The bad: all adult side rooms have a shared interior door with neighbour. Can hear all coughs, conversations, tv, and things left to your imagination. A/C is old and weak. Loud as heck too. Asked for a quiet room for 40th anniversary. Got a patio at the main garbage. Literally on the same level no break, walk out to the garbage. When we were funneled to the reception 'not time share' desk we were told we were upgraded. Literally a normal standard room, why lie? The terrible: 3 of the 4 of us got food poisoning. We have lived in Africa and Asia, been all over Mexico. We don't have weak stomachs. One person twice. A wedding party with 60 people, 40 the same. I think it was the water jug water or the main buffet. Stayed in one of the adult buildings, that over looked the family section of the beach so while the ocean view was wonderful, afternoons were noisey due to the activities and music on the beach. We spent time at the adult only pool which was very nice. Activities started around noon, some fun games and some wilder pool parties. Definitely a rowdier scene than we expected from an adult only section. Down the far end of the adult beach area you could get away from the music and microphones to hear the waves. The a la cart Italian and Mexican restaurants were fabulous. The steakhouse was awful, sorry to say. Breakfast at the Beach Snack was adults only and so lovely - thank you Samuel for the good care there. Same location was really nice for lunch by the big main pool - open air with big ceiling fans and a reasonable selection of food items. We avoided the main buffet as I got food poisoning there on our third day. We did eat there for some dinners, and while the selection of food is insanely huge, we can’t report that it was very GOOD. I wonder about how much food wastage there is? I wish they had focused on 3-4 themed sections each night, and produce quality meals. I see that they are making an effort to cater to any and all tastes but it’s just too much!! The rooms are simple and comfortable. Beds wonderful - great sleeps. Bar staff cheerful and attentive. The resort is amazingly maintained, with natural gardens. Pools clean. At check-in we were told the rooms we booked were not available. The (kid) behind the counter said they only had 2 rooms with double beds. My husband showed him our booking details & itinerary, but he said it "didn't matter", that they don't have those rooms available and if we wanted, we could try to find rooms with king beds somewhere that could accommodate the four of us! Are you kidding me?! We booked and paid for these rooms for 8 nights - which he obviously knew. He looked at us, smirked and asked if we wanted to take what they had. Obviously, we were tired and not in the mood for his game, so we took "what they had". When we got to our rooms we were "hit" with the most disgusting smell of mold and sewer. I immediately felt sick. There was black mold all around the bathroom & the shower door, floor, corners and ceiling; paint & caulking were peeling; the sliding glass door was disgusting with dirt, mold and something else I couldn't define. I didn't want to touch anything or be in there any longer than I had to. There is much more disappointing information to share but I am running out of character space. All I MUST say is DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Daytime entertainment was raunchy, food was ok.
