Food was terrible, rooms were gorgeous. Not worth the price point, but it's a once in a lifetime experience. They save all the overwater bungalows to offer to people to convince people to buy time shares, which is why there are none available on their website. The best food was not at the overwater bungalow area - the service there was insanely slow - it took us two hours to get a salad and a small entree. We abandoned eating there and just ate at the normal resort restuarants which were fine but not great. For the price point you can do much better.

We spent 4 nights in the honeymoon suite (#1217) and then 3 nights in a palafito (#1611). These are our main issues: · Concierge: tried talking to the concierge in the main lobby to set up a ride to the Cozumel ferry dock. They asked us our room number and then said we have our own concierge in our building that we had to use. Only saw the guy at the desk once in 4 days and the one time that we did talk to him, his partner wanted us to watch a video on the Karisma brand and then offered us something for free in return (he was relentless). Also tried making dinner reservations thru the app since no one was ever around and they kept telling us to use our concierge which got to be ridiculous. · Amenities: they do not have a shopping trip excursion you can take to Playa del Carmen (even if they did they’d probably upcharge you for it), kayaks are only available to those staying in the palafitos, some ballybeds and lounge chairs are only for certain villas but aren’t labelled as reserved. · Room service: takes at least an hour to get anything (we thought this would be better in the palafito but it wasn’t). You also have to answer your door when they show up, they just won’t drop it off in the room.

It exceeded our expectations, which were high to start with. Everything about the property is first class. Our butler Fernando took care of us like we were the only ones on the property. I can’t say enough good things about him and his professionalism and attention to detail.

The property is beautiful. It's well-maintained and has many options of dining and activities. The staff is exceptional! Nice, helpful and knowledgeable. You are greeted by everyone you encounter and they are happy. Mauricio, Aldo and Saul made sure our stay was immaculate!
