Beautiful property with lots of wild life. A bit spread out so could be tough if you can’t walk a lot. Pool area has lots of options and activities. Excellent beach area. Needs better night life between 7-9 pm

Beautiful property. Rooms are spacious. The pool is large enough you can find quieter areas away from the busy area. Most staff were wonderful and kind. Front desk staff is my only complaint. Upon arrival they were abrupt and upon leaving, they were rude. Not a representation of the rest who are welcoming, helpful, and courteous.

Landscaping is beautiful. Staff is very nice. Check-in staff are not very accomodating. Drinks at pool are very watered down, no service around pool. Tried to upgrade to the members area for better service and drinks and they made it very hard to do that - i walked away. Food was as expected. Overall, I won't come back again.

The property was massive. But easy to find your way in each area. They only give you one dinner reservation for every three days you stay, which was not ideal, but the dinner buffet was quite good. Our keys continually needed to be re-keyed to our rooms, which was very inconvenient. You never knew when you were going to be locked out of your room. Staff was kind and helpful, pools well cared for. Good food, fun cocktail menu and bars near pretty much everywhere you were. Beach was nice. Good chairs and covered areas to sit. Swimmable area.

Restaurant options are very limited, and difficult to book. Half of the restaurants are not air conditioned and poorly lit. If you aren't promptly on time for a reservation you will be turned away, and forced to eat at the buffet AGAIN. The buffet selection is predictable and limited. Shallow pools around lobby are full of algae and disgusting.

We enjoyed our week at Iberostar Del Mar. It was a wonderful family vacation. The staff was incredible! Everyone was super friendly & service was always great! Pool area had activities going on daily. There were a couple of things we weren’t happy with. 1st & biggest issue were the beds. They are awful. It was by far the worst bed we’ve ever slept on. It was like a slab of wood. We had 2 rooms & both were the same. The 2nd issue were the resort credits. Any all inclusive we have stayed at we can use the credits towards spa, excursions & as a whole. They broke the credits down, $25 to the spa, $50 towards a water activity. That was very disappointing. We stayed at the Hard Rock a few years back. We had $600 in credits. We were able to use the credit to cover the cost of our dolphin excursion. Of course Iberostar didn’t disclose this in the booking information. Another area we were disappointed in was how they set up dining at the restaurants. The all inclusive restaurants were limited. For every 2 nights stayed you received 1 dinner at a restaurant. We received 3. The other evenings were a buffet. Again other resorts we have stayed allowed us access to the restaurants every day of our stay. The buffet food was good. Not great but good. Definitely a large variety. The wild life that live on the resort were awesome to listen to & watch. Even though there were things we weren’t happy with we still had a great vacation! Not sure if I would book with them again.

Had a wonderful five day stay. Beach and pool areas were great during the day, the food was amazing and plentiful for being all inclusive. The hotel is huge, and is actually all connected to other Iberostar hotels, so it can take a long time to get from one place to the other. Top notch facilities and a great price!
