El Dorado Casitas Royale, Gourmet All Inclusive by Karisma

This property is certainly in need of a makeover. The casitas were dark. Although the room had 100 light switches, none of them seemed to make a difference in the lighting. We did like the outdoor shower that came with the room. Otherwise we didn’t spend much time in the room as it’s clearly not a five-star hotel room. It was nice to have the cabanas without having to worry About putting towels down in the morning. The service could’ve been better. There were times that we waited an hour for our food. The restaurant at least some of them at certain times were clearly understaffed. We did like the food however, lunches and dinners were excellent. The breakfast buffets could have had more Variety. As a coffee lover, I was disappointed about how bad the coffee tasted. We’ve been to resorts that had Nespresso machines in the room, which was not the case here. I was also missing some kind of ice cream shop here. I like my afternoon coffee with a piece of cake which we had to pay for at Starbucks. Overall, We had a pleasant stay with our friends. However, we would not come back.
