Absolutely the best property I've stayed at. The grounds are unique, beautiful, serene, yet wild with nature. The décor is wonderful, every nook and cranny is tasteful and special. The lobby and all restaurants are gorgeous, outdoor spaces. The entire complex is walkable or bike-able. The beach is quite nice. Each individual casita is perfect, completely private, and immaculately maintained.

We have traveled to Banyan Tree Mayakoba over the last 10 years, the villa style format with private pools is amazing and very private, the spa is probably the best service you may ever experience. I think it could be even better if there were more options for dining, updating some of the villas (as the property is now 15 years old) and while there is a heavy staff presence the focus on service and engagement of requests could be improved. Overall always an amazing experience and if you are looking for private, safe and secluded time with your partner/spouse this is hands-down the best option in Rivera Maya.

The room, the property, the service was excellent. It's a beautiful place to relax and do nothing but the main issue I had was the prices for the dining and spa. They were exorbitant. Luckily for us we had a rental car and could eat outside the property. We ate lunch & dinner once. The dinner was $300 USD for a shared appetizer and main course with 4 drinks. Yes, you read it right, $300. If you're a billionaire, this is the place for you, they even have a special check-in area for those I assume are mover's and shaker's.

Everything about this property is top-notch! The resort is beautiful and well maintained. The villas are spacious and each feels very private. The service is always looking to find a way to say "yes" to your requests. And last, the dining options are diverse and every one was very good.

The place is just so beautiful with very nice spacious villas and Gardens. The service was totally amazing. In particular Juan our concierge, Alberto at the beach and Jazmin at the excellent Saffran restaurant. We will definitely come back.

This is my 2nd time staying at the Banyan Tree and it was excellent. The service was superb as the staff go out of their way to make sure you are happy and satisfied. Additionally, the renovation down at the Sands was excellent. The only minor item I’d like to see corrected is the lack of towels provided in the bathroom. Please provide more. Additionally, the bathroom soap and body gel for the shower is terrible and doesn’t lather. However, everything else was perfect and these small nits don’t take away from the overall wonderful experience.

Best family vacation ever!
This is by far one of the nicest resorts we have every stayed. From cleanliness of rooms, to amazing food, impeccable service...every detail was spectacular. We really enjoyed all of the activities we participated in including hydrobike tour, snorkeling, archery and eco tour. We will definitely be back!

Exactly what I needed
The resort as usual goes the extra mile with excellent service and the staff are always incredibly helpful. The new beach club area is exceptional and the beach was immaculate! The one issue are the rooms on the older side of the property. They are in desperate need of renovation and repair. I will return in the future after the rooms have been done.

Caretaking Resort
I had the unfortunate experience of arriving at Banyan Tree not feeling well. The staff sent a Doctor and sure enough I received a positive COVID diagnosis. I couldn’t believe it. That said, there’s no better place to quarantine ! Everyone at the resort took special care of me and helped with everything from getting medications, to cozy clothes and proper foods. I couldn’t have asked for better support from these very kind people. I hope to go back and enjoy the beautiful resort in the future ! Genuine 5 star experience. Extremely attentive staff, beautiful grounds. Electric golf carts to move you around if you don't fancy the provided cycles. Good choice of restaurants, fun beach club. Exceptional spa. Nothing is cheap though so factor that in to your calculations.
