"Hotel Lunata was for me the perfect place to stay in Playa del Carmen. It is a modest sized hotel located in the heart of Playa with beautifully appointed theme rooms some of which overlook the town's main shopping thoroughfare (Quinta Ave) and a backyard area and patio that is pleasing and peaceful. As a solo traveler I found my room to be plenty big, impeccably clean and well maintained and attractive. Plus, the air conditioning worked wonderfully. The room was also reasonably quiet despite the noise produced by the many restaurants and night clubs located nearby. Kudos, too, to Nikita, the front desk host who was so helpful in recommending things to do and places to visit and making all the arrangements for these activities as well. Her assistance was invaluable and she made my stay in Playa so much more enjoyable. I will definitely stay at Hotel Lunata on my next trip to Playa and I would encourage you to do the same. You won't be disappointed."

The best things are the beautiful courtyard/pool area and the great staff, especially the wonderful housekeeper who kept my room shining and clean. I wish I could remember her name. I'll be back! "
