Propert6 well maintained but it didnt feel like a luxury stay at all. There are very few in-room amenities (maybe I missed that in description): no coffeemaker, no iron available at all -literally have to contact housekeeping and they will pickup and iron items for you. Sounds nice but if you're just needing to run a few passes of steam and go, this doesnt work. Also no phone in room to contact front desk or housekeeping. You habe to ise WhatsApp. Furnishings were older (fine but not luxurious), tv super small and no outlet near the bed. Restaurant and staff were super and pool areas and bars were inviting. But wouldnt stay there again.

Only one restaurant was open, but it is the rainy season so I guess that's how it is. One of the days my room was not cleaned. That was a little disappointing.

Very poorly maintained property Our bathroom toilet alone had a loose toilet seat, the seat was missing bumpers, the caulking was moldy When our room was last painted they did not paint all the way to the baseboards ect… The one pool is missing so many tiles it took years to get that way it was difficult to get a server to acknowledge you for anything whether at the restaurant or the bar

Liked the golf course was less than minute walk from hotel. Golf staff very good. Course condition was mediocre and greens very slow and like sandpaper. Did not like member of restaurant staff was suley. Did not like hotel did not have coffee maker in rooms or coffee in lobby. Also thought the beach was much closer. Didn't realize the hotel did not have restaurant. It was less than 5 minute walk but feel the website is misleading

Check in was super easy! We unfortunately were unaware it was a holiday and the restaurants were closed; we had driven 2 hours in taxi after 3 hour boat ferry without a meal! The front desk staff were exceptional! They ordered us pizza for our inconvenience!! The included breakfast was delicious! Service was impeccable! We will be coming back!

Disappointed, no restaurants stayed open passed 6pm and only 1 pool open which was near the kids club on site. The beach site lounge chairs hard plastic not comfortable and dirty. Staff did not come down to beach area to take drink order. Buffet breakfast not happening. Most of the staff were very friendly and tried to help. Best part was the massage. She was excellent!

Great staff helpful and friendly. Always trying .. nice property. Great pool. Not a lot to offer for trips or excursions. A place you need to figure out your own adventures. But that is the nature of the area.. not total tourist .. glad I had the rental car to get out exploring (Marcos helped a great deal in getting us transportation to and from the resort as well as a rental car at a very reasonable rate) anyway many thanks to Marcos and all the staff. Made our stay very enjoy.. many thanks

It was great very quiet and relaxing,food was great staff were friendly and very very helpful I would definitely go back The only problem I had was the airline it's the worst airline I've traveled with anyway this has nothing to do with the hotel, I would definitely recommend this hotel.👍

Well the property looked good on the outside but inside was another matter. Bathroom was not quite clean. Shower and sink slow to drain.The telephone is dirty... I could go on. Breakfast is great. Just overpriced.

We arrived without a reservation and was told there were no rooms. Went back to the car and made a reservation in hotels.com. Returned and was told they don’t work with hotels.com, so the reservation was not valid. I continued to ask about a room and asked to speak to a supervisor, and was again told they had no rooms. Finally, they “found” a room for us, but not the one reserved through hotels.com. I suggest you take this hotel if your site.

Excellent hotel stay!
Gorgeous suite with our own pool. And the main pools were large and clean. Very comfortable lounge areas & spacious grounds. Wonderful service.

Nice, but needs to improve a bit
Service was really good throughout the whole stay. Elva (at reception) was especially good and going out of her way to resolve any issues and make us feel at home. The property is nice and quite well maintained. Breakfast was good with a relatively wide selection of fried food and fruit. Segundo Piso has very good service, the food was quite good and atmosphere was nice. The beach club is nice, staff (at the beach bar) was around, but could do with a bit more initiative. Lunch at La Terazza was probably the only real low point of the weekend. While service was good again, the food was not up to standard (the cheese bacon burger and the coconut battered shrimps with couscous ). a few things: - Small portions are ok, if the quality is good. In this case neither was good. - If you replace couscous with rice and veggies, please tell the customer before, e.g. when ordering. If someone wants rice, they will order it. We discussed sending it back, but decided against it due to other appointments. Overall a nice weekend and we had a good time. At this price level I expected more.

Great concept. Love the family rooms. The food was good. The only thing I’d say is the upkeeping of the place. The tiles in the pool were falling.. the 3 rooms we rented had non functioning safe boxes.

We were expecting more... Only had one night, so would prefer to spend several nights to have a real opinion. On the golf course -- which I did not have time to play... Right after a Panamanian Holiday so the popular eating/watering holes were closed.

It was nearly impossible to find the hotel. The GPS wasn't sure and we went up and down and around and around. It was nothing short of a nightmare, however once we found the hotel all was very nice. Most of the staff was helpful and very friendly.

Room was hot when we arrived. Tv was broken, door lock broken phone did not work and black mold in the sink. Along with no hot water. Good location and beach club was nice however property needs work and despite the ratings I was not happy

Very nice attractive hotel. Buffet food was pretty good. Service when needed in the crowded dining room could be slow at times but always friendly. Room was very nice but there was rarely hot water in the shower. Nice golf course. Friendly place.

terrible please be aware of this hotel beautiful property run by a company from spain we checked in and they did not tell us the hot water was off!!! they took our money knowing they had no hot water in hotel food was also unfit to eat. The manager would not come to front desk when I checked out later mr castro manager called to say he was sorry and would give 30 percent discount because had used the property but myself and wife were disgusted with whole experience I use hotels .com 40 times last year and this my first bad experience beware of this property blue bay

Dear Guest, I am the director of operations of the property and the one who talked to you about this. Let me start by thank you for taking the time to share with this community your experience, we do recognize how important is for everyone to express opinions in this kind of platforms with the world and as I told you over the phone, and through our TEXT conversation "I do apology for all the inconvenience the hot water issue caused to you in your one night stay, even when that was not planned and it was not our intention", I put myself in your position and I understand this can be stressful. Yes, is true you asked the front desk team about it that night, and about the answer, I can't blame our front desk for not giving you the information at the check in because when you arrive we didn't realized how big could be the hot water problem, and this is completely my responsibility, reason why I am asuming it and offered you a discount. I bet you understand we can´t warn anyone about an issue we didn't realized at that moment. Once we did it, we started our contingency plan, that same night you asked and then we couldn't fix it even we worked all night long, it is not your fault, is our and because is ours, we offered you a compensation you refuse to accept. In our conversation over the phone you asked for a full refund and I explained you I can't refund your full rate of 2 passengers, considering you slept and ate with no complains during the stay, then you express you were not comfortable with the food, mentioning you even read about our "terrible food service", I felt confuse because before this you were not complaining about anything else but I respect your opinion. Sr. statistics don´t lie, off course I completely disagree with you but as a professional and even user of some services I respect your opinion 100% and as a manager I took the proper notes to avoid and prevent any issue like this one in the future. When you called me I was out of the property in a meeting, once I finished I contacted you and without questioning I offered you a discount of a third part of your stay and you denied to accept it, a day later the agency from where you booked call me saying you wanted, and then you pulished a negative feedback about us refering to things you never mentioned before. For the record, is important to clarify the reason why locals don’t come here, that's is not because of the food, is because this is a non-open hotel / restaurant / club for non-members, or non-guests. We're very sorry this inconvenient happened during your stay, we really are, but it doesn't deserve a 100% refund when you used our facilities. Once again, thank you for taking the time to write this, I promise I'll make sure your opinion get to all my team members and also will make sure our next visitors will never experience what you did according to our brand standards. Good hotel
Hotel is nice, it needs maintenance. Our sofa in the room had stains all over and the room had poor lighting. Overall rooms are pretty oversized which is nice so you don't feel crammed in a tiny room. Food was very good for dinner, breakfast not that great and lunch was OK.

I would like to send a complaint and ask for a money return/chargeback from "Blue-bay resort" in Coronado panama. here is the story of our horrible experience with blue bay: first the staff was extremely rude throughout the whole staying in multiple occasions. we checked in to "Blue-bay resort Coronado" at the night of 16-18.2017 we made a reservation for an 8 people room ( we were only six, three couples in a three double bed room). when we checked in the night clerk didn't say a thing but the next morning they demanded an extra charge of 260$ because it's a 4 people room and if we wont pay they will not give us new "all inclusive" bracelets. so we paid. during the night the air condition in the upper floor of the apartment stop working and flooded the room with water and to top this the shower was not functioning. we asked to change a room and again embarrassing questions and refusal to change until the hotel maintenance will come to check the issues. so it took another 2 hours until we got confirmation to change rooms. we was asked to come to the lobby to sign something and when i asked what am i signing (for i'm not a Spanish speaker) the lady at the reception said simply and i quote "why do you need to know". here i decided to leave but my friends told me to relax and not to blow the vacation so we stayed. and the absurd continued: they moved us to an abandoned floor to the last room in a long corridor with no lights. i called the reception and ask

Nice but not sure I'd return
The room was very nice and the availability to the beach area was great w free drinks and snacks (hamburger/nachos). The hotel manager who checked us in didn't explain all of the hotel perks very well and information wasn't available in the room. He also was not very helpful when our car wouldn't start. All of the other staff were helpful and worked through the language barriers. They are advertising as a fancy resort (not worth the high regular price) and had a snooty attitude but it was just a nice hotel with a trolley to beach access.

Canivals 2017 at Blue Bay
The food was good all days, but the service at the restaurant "La terraza" not too much, to litle tables for all guest and too much time to clean the table between uses, we have to eat our lunch, breakfast and dinners without water, with dirty plates on table and we stay 5 days on the hotel, for the rest, all was ok
